Love the way they speak English. I’m malay too but I hope to speak English the way they do. And throw away my malay-ish away when I speak English 😂 Practice!!
I think the real challenge is finding HALAL-CERTIFIED vegan food... Finding vegan food in SG is hard enough. I know it's all plant-based but a lot of my Muslim friends need to see the cert as there could be alcohol used in the cooking. Even kimchi has halal certification.
@@iamahappymofo some kopitiam haves bingsu below $10 and THEY ARE REALLY GOOOD. One I recommend is the food court in Hillion Mall and my mom a fussy eater said its good.
Tteokbokki is made out of rice flour not rice. Omg Fauzi... Go follow Maangchi for her cooking tutorial. Fauzi Fauzi. Wanna be foodie, don't know how food are made.
Everything in singapore is expensive also our pay is way too low due to influx of foreign workers in Singapore stealing our jobs and willing to work with lowest pay
hmmm looking for halal korean food is like looking for non-lamb versions of middle eastern dishes.. can pass but lack the oomph.. like how beef shakshuka will never match up to lamb shakshuka.. but oh well whoever makes halal korean good enough will be brilliant!
I want to share one story about my recent trip. (abit lengthy haha) I went south korea last week and actually was shocked that halal stalls and restaurant is common there. I learnt from the tour guide that the reason is because alot of south korean convert to muslim to avoid the drinking culture there. (give reason to their boss that they can't drink so they exempt you.) In korea, there's such thing that if you can't hold a drink, you won't able to promote to manager level. If workers don't drink when ordered by their superior, they get hounded and get treated badly at work. That's why many of them convert to this religion (even though they never pray or take part in other religious activities) to give excuse to their boss so their boss won't pester them to drink.
