She was so close on that last snatch, she might've made a 148 C&J. Although she might not had made the weight adjustment for Eileens incoming 149. Would be even worse if she hit a 116/147 just for Eileen to hit 149 afterwards.

If I understand correctly, even though Mary didn't improve her total, she's still ahead of Kate and Kate won't be going to the Olympics... At least she improved upon Mattie's best result in this quad, for whatever that's worth.
It is worth something...if for some unfortunate reason Mary, Olivia or Jourdan suffer an injury and can't go to the Olympics, she's now the next woman up.

If I was USA deciding who to send, I honestly think I would send Kate regardless. Her rate of progress has been crazy and she could definitely medal by the time of the Olympics, but lifters like Jordan and Mary are unlikely to medal

This Olympic qualifying is fubar, I hope it changes for the next Olympics. It is forcing lifters to do things they wouldn’t normally do, opening them up to injury. Shame on whoever came up with these restrictions for how many athletes can be sent
