@@liiime1239 i actually don't like it that much tbh but it helps me a lot since my vision is like crappy and seeing things like the recon bolt or kay/o knives is a pain
Don’t cap your fps 3 below refresh rate. The only reason people have done this is to force freesync and Gsync to work and that can introduce input lag and screen tearing.
@Vansh Aggarwal well, I don't think that you can really say that. if the person playing the game does not care about things like power consumption for example, but rather wants to have the lowest latency possible, you should not cap the fps at all or use something like double your refreshrate. see, even though the monitor can only display for example 240 frames per second and it won't get past that no matter how much fps you have, the frames that are shown by the monitor in one second can vary in up-to-dateness. if you produce 480 frames per second and your monitor can display 240 per second, every single frame that is sent to your monitor to display is a newer, more up-to-date one and therefore could include information, that it maybe wouldnt have, if you only produced 240 frames per second. i believe in valorant video settings you can turn on the display of your frametime, which shows how long it takes until one frame is being produced. the frame you are looking at on your monitor then is basically as old as the value of your frametime so more fps = higher frametime = younger frames that can be displayed on the monitor.
Dood I'm so happy I came across ur channel, your Jett guides are hella helpful waiting to see ur Bind guide.. really looking forward to see more Jett vids from u mate.. You're killin it!
I know this video is called "the only video you'll ever need" but I think given how important the filter was to optimal settings and how that interacts with other settings, it might be worth making a follow-up or updated version of this.
4:20 kids, pls dont do that, that is so dumb, you want as many frames as you can, having more frames than your refresh rate is important and gives a competitive advantage, pls dont lock it at your refresh rate or lower unless your hardware demands it.
I seccond this. But only in some cases. If you have a n underpowered CPU then I recommend locking your frames 3-5 fps ABOVE the refresh rate of your monitor, this will reduce load on your CPU and reduce stuttering. Locking below your refreshrate may be logical if you have a 144-240Hz monitor and underpowered CPU, but I strongly advise against it with a 60Hz.
@@bjort9619 i mean, yes i think that is a good take, but that is pretty much the only reason why you would be locking your fps in the first place: because you are experiencing stutters. And you still want as many fps as possible, depending on your hardware and game the fps you lock to may differ.

with all on low, you can also increase the gamma on display settings by either 20% or higher depending on your preference so that the dark spots/shadows will also be brighter a good example on this is ascent B main.
I really like jacking up the gamma loads and lowering the brightness down to like 35% of gamma, means the game doesn't blind you, isn't dark, but dark spots aren't so dark anymore.
whats the issue with dark spots in the map? If anything, it provides more contrast between the enemy and the map. Enemies in val have a very prominent outline which has a set brightness regardless of where they're standing. Am I missing something?
In the Nvidia control panel you do NOT want to turn "prefer max performance" on under power management mode, all that does is pin your GPU Clock and Memory speeds at max, which is unnecessary when doing low load tasks or Idling, causing unnecessary heat, under load it'll use max speeds regardless. Everyone who says to turn it on doesn't actually research properly what it does, they just say to put it on max performance because it sounds good and it's what everyone else says.
In my experience, I have mine at 1 FPS lower because I was getting frame drops at the max (My monitor has a 60 Hz refresh rate so my Limit FPS is at 59). I reckon it's because it's a safe yet unnoticeable buffer in case the maximum refresh rate tanks your monitor. That's just my guess though.
@@kekwku7602 Depends on your monitor's refresh rate, regardless of what GPU you have. I have a GTX 1050 Ti but my monitor only has 60 Hz, so I have to cap FPS between 57-59. That might be the best practice for our mid-tier gaming setups.
Haha, it's hilarious because after like 2 years of experimenting with various sensitivities, I finally found my PERFECT sensitivity and it's 0.18 with 1600DPI, which would give 0.36 with 800DPI, so almost exactly the same as the one you use ^^ RESPECT! ;D
