    Pharmacological Actions of Adrenergic Drugs:
    Pharmacological actions of adrenergic drugs include: increased heart rate, increased contractility of cardiac myocytes, increased velocity of impulse conduction, vasoconstriction in the skin mucous membrane and kidney, vasodilatation in skeletal muscles, liver, and coronary vessels, varying effects on blood pressure depending on dose, bronchodilatation, gut relaxation, mydriasis, decreased aqueous formation, increased aqueous outflow, oppose bladder voiding, contraction of vas-deference and seminal vesicles, relaxation of the pregnant uterus, tremors, CNS stimulation by amphetamines, decreased sympathetic outflow by clonidine, glycogenolysis, hyperglycemia, lipolysis, increased free fatty acids, and transient hyperkalemia followed by hypokalemia.
