Putty primer on the lips will smooth out the lines & act as a barrier under matte lipsticks to keep your lips less dry.

I’ve heard to buy sample mascaras because a lot of the full size ones go bad before they can be used up. I’ve also heard that if your mascara dries some, use sterile contact solution or eye drops and put a little in the dry mascara it will moisten it back up and I have done this and it works.

I *wipe off the brush* with a clean tissue before I dip back in: less contamination, fewer dead eyemites, less chance of pet hairs, etc.I like the idea of mascara not being mucked up with half dry or clumped drying mascara shoved back in there
I’d rather have less last longer. Your test size has its merits
FYI: snatch up some sample brushes when you see them on giveaway, they can make an average tube much better

I love the milani eyeshadow primer for eyes and I also apply it around my nose so my foundation doesn't separate. I also apply it around the lips to help with lip liner/lipstick feathering. Good stuff!

For dry under eyes that are also dark….try using elf halo liquid filter and your favorite concealer. I use shade 1 (it’s on the peachy side and I’m fair skin) and it looks beautiful! Lasts all day and doesn’t settle or brake apart. I do lightly powder with the elf halo glow powder.

Using a beauty blender dipped in powder to blend concealer was the one I'm most excited about!!! With mature skin, I don't like using powder after concealer because the skin looks so dry and textured. All of these were wonderful tips!🥳🥳
I also have saved my favorite mascara wand (a plastic one with very close bristles) and I use that to comb through my lashes after applying mascara!

  • @queenbunnyfoofoo6112

Interdental brushes are great for spreading mascara and separating lashes as well. I agree about the full size mascaras. They never work as well as the mini sizes. I'm very religious about tossing my mascara after 3 or 4 months, so the minis are cheaper too.
    Love tile roofs!

What has worked for me (if it has mentioned in the past, I apologize,) is while I do my makeup, I’ll place my mascara either under my butt, or I’ll set it in some hot water- if I have used it for a bit of time, it has tendencies of hardening, and this helps to soften it up, and create an easier and smoother application on my eyelashes 😉

I tried the tip about extending my blusher to my under eye circles area but was horrified that I had suddenly aged so much in one day. It was out with the makeup remover immediately! This trick has to be limited to younger women with smooth skin. If you are headed towards the crepies you have to be very judicious about powdering with anything because it can really draw attention to the aging bit. The same applies to layering powder below foundation: I tried that too under my eyes and I could see foundation in uneven blobs in the depression. And I stress at this point I applied very little of either.
I ‘ve never liked wearing foundation but have taken lately to applying a very thin layer of moisturiser/foundation mix with the big brush we see Zabrena using, and she’s right, that uses only a tiny amount whilst making the skin look so much better. (I’m 77 going on 57).
Thank you to Zabrena and all commenters; everyone is so willing to pass on their experiences to help others.

I have always struggled with mascara clumping no matter drug store or high end. My dentist has me use GUM Proxabrush Go-Betweens cleaners to clean my teeth, about 2 years ago I tried using one of those to apply my mascara. What a difference! I roll the Proxabrush on the wand of the mascara and apply it, rinse with water (I don't use waterproof mascara) and it ready for the next day 😊

I use my finger as well. I have long and thick, but very straight lashes. I've never gotten an eyelash curler to work. So I actually put a coat of mascara on 1st then before it's totally dry I use my middle finger to "push curl" my lashes, then I apply another coat of mascara. I just have to be careful when pushing the lashes to not end up with mascara on my lids if I accidentally push them up too hard. But if that happens, I wait til mascara on lid dries completely, then it comes right off skin with a q-tips and won't smudge all over.

I have used Wet n' Wild eyeshadow primer on and around my lips to prevent feathering.
It's a good one since it is colorless when having dried down and smoothes the liplines too. Lipstick stays all day!
Then I use the hack to mix concealer with little settingspray before applying. Tap it in, set lightly with powder and it stays all day.
Also do primer - light setting spray that dries - foundation - setting spray - setting powder - setting spray for days the make up must stay long.
Will absolutely try to use E.l.f. putty primer in suggested ways. Will try the luminous under the eyes, under concealer.
Thanks for testing and sharing all the tips from all amazing people out there. 🌺🤗

I have a collection of old mascara wands, fluffy round, tiny skinny, curved, metal. They're all scrubbed clean. Owning a Persian cat, fur floats thru the air & catches in my eyelashes. I discovered running a clean mascara wand thru my lashes catches the hair & pulls it away, I can see clearly again!
I have a separate wand collection I use to detail the cat's face too. Persians sometimes need a bit of assistance in controlling all that hair. My cat loves having her face groomed with a mascara wand. It's scratcher than a toothbrush which is also appealing. Then I have to use tape to get all the hair out & cleaned & sterilized again.
Clean mascara wands are a secret weapon in my house. Shhh

I always use one, though I rarely show it, you're right. It depends on the lash curler you're using, really. I find the cheaper ones aren't as good, unless you use a blowdryer to heat them up. I use the one from Surratt Beauty, and while it's $30 it's worth it because it works with no heat. And I haven't pulled any eyelashes out using it, if you're worried about that! Hope this helps!

I have Werewolf Brows 😂💀 I wish I could take a lot off.
    Beep… Beeeppp… Beepp 😂😂
    Congratulations on your new renovations.
The Elf Wax stick are sold at Dollar Tree. It’s hard to find but I still have mines. I didn’t like it for my brows because they looked like two frozen 🐛 on my face.

I have seen those Elf brow wax pencils at DT... I have to get one now to try as clear lip liner... if they still have them.

You are the BEST makeup tuber! Some don’t rate products, they want you to watch them apply it….. and? You actually try things out and let us gals know if it’s worth it… or not. Lol❤️

I love putting a pump of my Fourth Ray Beauty (colourpop) body highlighter in with my body sunscreen. It gives such a beautiful glow to the skin and keeps the sunscreen from making me feel dry.
