Well shoot sorry my ending wasn’t there and thanks for watching- making it to that point .
Essentially my long conclusion rant was 300 off could make this a great entry machine at 999 compared to m1 mba - and if you want to focus on weight to size ratio the 15 mba could be worth over microcenter deals - as the 1100 M1 Pro refurbished does have better specs - but some people prefer bigger size and weight .

I'm struggling to decide M1 Air for $750 or $250 more for M2 15" Air? Is the 15" going to be cumbersome portability-wise? I like that the M2 has more cores, larger display, updated design, MagSafe.. but it's $250 more for same storage/memory. Mainly worried about portability and wondering if that 15" will require too much room.

I had the same thought process. Another wrench for the decision - i recently saw on reddit (if you are military) that the exchange has M2 MBA 13 inch for $700-750 or something like that -
I went with the 15 inch because I wanted Magsafe and 1080p webcam - also in terms of travel I'm not really doing work on a plane or tight spaces - and the 3.3 pounds is still light enough (3.5 lb on 14 inch) that doesn't feel like a hassle moving around - mostly the house now but about to go travel for a bit - but be stationary primarily.
ytuff - you could save $250 and be perfectly fine with the M1 MBA - I would be too - I just wanted magsafe for my perceived longer lasting ability to not ruin a USB-C port possibly by charging it wrong or something.
Also 15 inch has bigger battery and m2 more efficient so theoretically could last longer than the m1 MBA. Also slight speed bump from m1 to m2.... maybe I shouldve put some of this in my video lol
