It breaks my heart when Joey talks about how drained she was after filming some days. This was Gypsy’s real life and for her there was no escape at the end of the day. It is great that her story is being shared in a way that will help people understand and I think it’s really great to shine a light on it all through a television series. But it is SO important that we remember that this traumatic story is someone’s truth. It’s only been three or four years since the truth came out man this is all so fresh!! I think it’s important to be sensitive about it all, especially since Gypsy didn’t ever get the chance to consent to her name or story being used and she was not consulted at all in the production of this series. Although I am pleased with the AMAZING portrayals from the actors and the storyline being fairly accurate (from an outsiders perspective), i am having trouble coping with the fact that gypsy wasn’t in on this at all.
The interviewer is so bland compared to Joey's quirky personality. Its a weird interview. The interviewer is making it weird. Calum and Joey made it funny.
Calum made Nick so relatable and sympathetic. It really made me think about how Nick has been thrown under the bus this whole time. Patricia Arquette is amazing and she did a good job portraying a certain type of character however it wasn't very inaccurate to who Deedee was. She is portrayed much more sympathetic and vulnerable when she was actually a manipulative monster who knew exactly what she was doing it's not like Joey said where she thought she was doing the right thing and thought Gypsy was actually sick that's not what Munchausen Syndrome by proxy is. The people with this rare disorder are aware that the person they are taking care of is not actually sick and that they are making them sick or that they are lying about them being sick. They know what they're doing. It's not that they are trying to be helpful they are doing it for attention and praise and for control as well as financial gain / to commit fraud

When I tell you this show will have you hooked on the real story, its super addicting. They did a great job of portraying the real people from the case. Joey King was astonishing as Gypsy. This is an amazing movie. Joey King and the rest of the cast was absolutely perfect. Joey deserves an Emmy for this without seeing any other show this year. She committed 100% to this role and it shows when you compare The Act to the actual documentaries. Perfect.

After seeing him in an interview, you can tell what an incredible actor he really is. The way he portrays the multiple personalities his character says he has, is amazing. Even the way he depicts the non verbal moments, you can see his anguish and torment going on inside his head as the character would.... It's rare to see an actor who doesn't just say the lines as themselves but actually takes on the different mannerisms and the ticks, even the way he holds his composure and tilts his head; incredible!
They played those roles sooooo well that I was completely shocked when they started talking in their regular voice and have a completely different personality 👏🏾😭
Calum Worthy was on Austin and Ally. He was a very good actor on that show. He did his research on the narrative and tried to be the best Nick Godejohn he can be. Joey King could also be commended for her performance. I don't have Hulu but I have watched some episodes and it's really sad but really good. Thanks for sharing!

I think “The Act” being a tv show is better than just being a movie because they dive into so many details that happened in this case throughout the episodes which I think is way better than an hour long movie that isn’t as detailed.
Joey did an amazing job describing Gypsy’s feelings, I’ve been waiting for someone to be able to explain it this way. I think Joey is such an amazing human being.

This is an amazing movie. Joey King and the rest of the cast was absolutely perfect. Joey deserves an Emmy for this without seeing any other show this year. She committed 100% to this role and it shows when you compare The Act to the actual documentaries. Perfect.

I just watch the first two episodes and I can honestly say Joey King is doing an amazing job. Really captured the essence of Gypsy being trapped in this mother and daughter cycle

I don't think it'll be healthy for her, she's doing very well and actually enjoying her time in prison, as hard as it is to believe if you haven't been through what she has. After seeing him in an interview, you can tell what an incredible actor he really is. The way he portrays the multiple personalities his character says he has, is amazing. Even the way he depicts the non verbal moments, you can see his anguish and torment going on inside his head as the character would.... It's rare to see an actor who doesn't just say the lines as themselves but actually takes on the different mannerisms and the ticks, even the way he holds his composure and tilts his head; incredible!
They played those roles sooooo well that I was completely shocked when they started talking in their regular voice and have a completely different personality 👏🏾😭
Calum Worthy was on Austin and Ally. He was a very good actor on that show. He did his research on the narrative and tried to be the best Nick Godejohn he can be. Joey King could also be commended for her performance. I don't have Hulu but I have watched some episodes and it's really sad but really good. Thanks for sharing!

I love how Joey answered all these questions, to her belief's and becoming the character. I feel like when movies are based on real events, the actor can't answer so of the questions. so I love how she answered them to her true feelings.

I think “The Act” being a tv show is better than just being a movie because they dive into so many details that happened in this case throughout the episodes which I think is way better than an hour long movie that isn’t as detailed.
