    You could incorporate folair fertilzers to get a bigger yeild.

    really appreciate this breakdown of the production process, been tuning in from day 1. would like to know if the processors you supply require you to deseed the peppers before delivering and also if sweet pepper would have a similar cost break and production cycle.

      Not to deseed, but to destem. Thanks much for the comment.

    Good morning g, how does the spraying affect the papers. Doesn't the pesticides get into the peppers , or is it sprayed before peppers bear

      When growing scotch bonnet peppers it is very difficult not to treat your field without utilizing pesticides. However each pesticide would have a Pre Harvest Interval (PHI) which would outline the period in which the fruit would be safe to reap.

    What is the spacing you plant the peppers at

    • @natureinspiredoh

      This plot is high density. So it's 2x2 zig zag.

    One thing though…you said that you broke even on plot one because of the rain but if you had 16 weeks of reaping at 2000lbs per week that’s 32,000lb. If that’s calculated at the lowest sale price it would be 3.2mil, so it took that much to grow plot 2? I probably didn’t understand something

      In the same way you calculated the revenue it would also be quite simple to calculate the investment costs because all those figures were also mentioned, ensure you also calculate the labour costs as well and the rate paid per pound for reaping. Keep in mind also that 2000 pounds per week was not for the entire 16 weeks because the production is not maximised in the initial harvesting period.

    what! 100 to 400 dollar per pound. wow. its worth it. I was thinking about how much could you posible sell for in order to make good money in this. but at that amount per pound, hummm, thats not bad.

      Farming like all this comes with risks but you can manage it as you go along. Therefore even though you may plan for this rate of return, it might not always materialise.

    2000 lbs per weeks, by how much. How much do you sell for?

      Like everything else, prices vary and is determined by multiple factors.

    • @gamecomp2489

      They said $100-$400 per pound

      Absolutely LOVE your content! Keep up the great work and thank you soooo much! I do scotch bonnets too but my first project was very small and I encountered so many difficulties with insects. I am going larger this time so I am researching and getting my plan together.

    100000 a month for fertilizer? I do not believe that. you just trying to discourage me from farming pepper.

      Why would she be "discouraging" you thou?

    • @natureinspiredoh

      Remember this is our experience. You might choose to use different types of fertilizers or even less fertilizers, but this is what we chose. Don't be discouraged, do what you can.
