Great information Misty!! I think the technology of the real born baby is cool and the dolls look amazing, but for me I like the reborn babies because of the creativity of the sculptor along with the vision of the artist who paints the baby. The details that 2 artist can bring together is absolutely gorgeous.

Thanks a lot for the information. I never knew the difference. My daughter has been wanting one for the last 5 years but she was too young at the time. But she's older and more responsible. She's been sad to see some of the ones she wanted were sold over the years.

To follow up with my last comment you say the real born was the first concept of these dolls or idea of them and that the reborns is a fake to the real Borns. As an artist myself it doesn't make sense that they are fakes because the process is totally different they may have stolen the idea but still they don't qualify as a counterfeit because the idea is not the same there is Hands-On human-made with clay and human Talent art applied I'm not trying to argue that the issue is just as how my brain conceived it I think they're both absolutely excellent but not fakes in any way
Realborns and Reborn kits that are sculpted are not fakes, they are both totally legit if produced by a legit doll manufacturers and supply companies who have legal agreements. Thats not what this conversation was about and you are confused because you are misunderstanding the content of the video as well as your information on fake kit production. Realborns are not fake kits, they are also not the original concept for reborns. Realborns. However, I do agree with you on the sculpted kits. I love the art that goes into them by a sculptor and the fact that it takes two or more artists to bring them to life. Realborns are 3D scans of a real baby and then a mold is created and vinyl versions created for artists to paint. Although there is only one true artist bringing them to life, nothing can compare to the realism of an exact scan of a live human baby. After painting hundreds of dolls, they are by far the most realistic. As far as the art goes, reborn kits are definitely a better representation of artistic talent. When it comes to “ fake kits” that you will have to do more research on, to long to go into here, it’s also a very complex and touchy subject in this community. There is tons of information on YT if you want to dive down that rabbit hole. Those in a nutshell are kits that are taken and re-produced in another country, without the sculpting artists consent, even when protected by copyright in the US, and the artist does not get paid for their work. Essentially these are copied works of art that overseas companies are profiting from without legal permission. Hope this answers some questions! 💗
After watching your video understand more about where these dolls come from I would think that the doll that was sculptured from a mold of clay I didn't give it to an artist another artist to paint is one of more value and more Artistry work human touch Artistry creativity work versus the one that is that is almost like a Photoshop. Then created with the 3D machine is entirely different. I realize Photoshop is not what it is it takes an artist's talent and time and investment to paint these 3D molds it stands to reason the reborn would be the most value in the definition and the world of heart. I am not trying to take any credibility from the Artistry that is involved. Does that make sense

i have two reborns and two realborns. I didn't realize realborns was a BB thing. Is BB still legit?
I know these is still some controversy with them and they are still involved in several lawsuits but they are still an up and running business.
