0:40 I'm soooo stupid! I completely didn't realize while recording this that I not only had heard this song before, but I EVEN REACTED TO IT about a week ago! I didn't catch that fact until after I already did the reaction. The entire time I kept thinking.. "why does this seem familiar" not even realizing that it's the song I reacted to the other day directly off Taylor's channel that didn't have a music video for it. That's actually what prompted some comments about how I should instead react to *THIS* version from the Reputation Tour! I feel incredibly embarrassed. Eh... you win some you lose some? 😳😂
Don't Blame Me was definitely one that grew on me. Didn't really love it the first couple listens, but as I listened to it more it quickly became one of my favorites.
Check Taylor's rock version of "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" from her 1989 tour, she plays electric guitar in it. I promise it does not sound poppy.
there is no comparison with Taylor and Britany, Taylor is in a league of her own. She is a legitimate phenom and artist, as she writes, she produces, she directs, she envisions and imagines her music and shows every step of the way, and she is proving what an amazing songwriting storyteller and singer she really is. She's even proven she can learn choreography and dance and what's most impressive is her stamina to do it all for nearly 4 hours night after night, and for a year and half now, even through the cold and pouring rain. Nobody has done anything like her. I saw that Britney concert and her show and performance was entertaining yes and she's a good dancer, but she mostly lip syncs particularly when live and has autotune on all of her music, and lastly she does not write her music or have the in-depth involvement on any level like that of Taylor.
She takes you to church! You might want to compare this LIVE to ERAS TOUR LIVE of same song. Totally different stage, choreo and lighting.....gives goosebumps also! Tell us which one you like better.
Thank you. It's my alias as a musician/producer/songwriter etc. I decided to use it as my TH-cam channel name as well. I used to host quite a few songs of my own on my channel years and years ago but these days I don't publish my own music directly to my TH-cam channel anymore. Now it's on Spotify/Apple Music and all the others out there 🥰
Interesting how you sped up the BPM--cool thing to do. I'm a huge T Swift fan--have been for the past 10, 12 years. I hear what you're saying about your tempo preference (hence the 808 name, haha). T Swift in my mind--maybe others will contradict/correct me--doesn't do a lot of fast tempo stuff. A lot of her best stuff--really world class stuff--is fairly slow, e.g., Folklore album. I suspect if you give Folklore a chance, you'll come to appreciate it, but it'd be an adjustment maybe. In terms of energy though, I've never been to a concert (and my wife and I go to a lot of concerts) with any energy that approached the Eras Tour. For 3 1/2 hours, everyone (EVERYONE) was standing, dancing, screaming, singing. Best musical experience of my life, without a doubt.
Lives are fantastic for reacting to Stage Presence/performance. I'd use the Official Lyric videos for the first listen - that way you get the song for the very first time, but also are seeing the lyrics so you know all the words too.
I would recommend watching her perform this song at the eras tour. Its sorter b/c she mashes it up with Look What You Made Me Do but its a little more rock
@@KateinVA Thank you. I'm actually really enjoying her music and find it hard to believe I waited nearly 20 years to finally look into her catalog! I've also reacted to several other songs of hers.. Check those out if you would like and have a good rest of your day. 🙌🫡
I say keep doin the improv/blind watch but, pull up the lyrics & go thru 'em with us after (or before) you watch - whichever you prefer. She's an A+ songwriter. This one is🔥 & all about desire. I get the speed thing. For me, just depends on my mood. Hype or chill...I like & need a lil both in my life lol. Good one, keep 'em coming!👊
I’ve now watched all of your Taylor reactions. Liked them and subbed! Watched some other reactions as well. Honestly I’m here for the Taylor ones but I know I’m gonna check out your Slim Shady reaction. I think you should take sneak peaks of songs before reacting. I think you’d enjoy it more and so would we. Lmao. I totally dig your reactions. Could not have agreed more on Fortnight. It was so very mid. In every way. I love Post myself as well. The way she hits the notes is exactly why every Swifty wanted you to watch Don’tBlame Me !!!The fandom, the og fandom specifically, has had to hear for years how Taylor can’t sing. Her vocals have definitely grown over the years. She’s just the best all around entertainer and she writes her own songs. What a poet, lyricist! Thanks for doing the Swift road.
React to the mix of this song and the song following I can't t think of the name maybe youve already done it. Damn I'm 63yo and haven't been able to fill my brain with any music since the mid 90s. My niece tur😮 me into a Swifty
Taylor does costume changes regularly in her concerts always has! For her latest Eras tour she changes her costume over 16 times and has over 60 costumes overall she changes from show to show.
My first reaction to your comments about only liking upbeat tempos was "it's like someone saying they only like chicken fingers for dinner every night, but I change the sauces, but don't give me anything else but chicken fingers." Then I thought, well, you can't help what your preferences are, you just can't. To each his own!
I recommend to most reactors that they do a lyric version before a live/music video reason. She’s super into visuals but it does often pull away from some of her cleverer or well written lyrics. Lavender Haze off Midnights album is very synth heavy but a bit poppy (it is her wheelhouse) but still a jam. Maroon off Midnights also has a lot of synth and some of her color-based wordplay. False God off Lover album is sort of lounge smooth jazzy pop (and there’s a great live version from SNL). It’s kinda got a sexy r&b vibe to it. Endgame is off Reputation album and features Future and Ed Sheeran. It’s similar to the other Rep songs you’ve done so far. Dress is also on Reputation and in her sexy bag. I wish she’d included it in her Eras tour.
I am not one for slow songs. I love songs with a beat and tempo. However, there are some songs, like this one, that faster, more upbeat, loses the whole aura of the song. This is a song that is suppose to build up (if you ever heard Stairway to Heaven it is like that. It builds to the climax). As the song goes on the intensity builds. It is also supposed to have a bit of a gospel flavor to it. I love this song due to the intensity of it. The raw emotion. The gut wrenching feel. It goes along a blues like vibe as well. Blue usually does not go fast. It is emotional. You feel it and it has a slower tempo usually to build up the emotional feel. I do have one suggestion. You stop at almost the end of every sentence. You cannot get the feel of a song or get into it if you keep stopping alot. You really don't get to feel anything. Can you stop commenting so often? Maybe stop every so often then say all the things you wanted to
@@DianeLake-sw3ym I do have to stop the video more often than most people realize because if I don't they will often times get blocked by TH-cam for copyright infringement. I've already had that happen to quite a few videos of reacted to it's stressful when we spend a decent amount of time doing these.
The tempo - it's a slow burn. And you mentioned your girlfriend (or wife) - it would be really nice rhythm to use for ambience if you ever listen to music to enhance the occasional romantic evening. And as for others putting on big shows -- they have the pyrotechnics and choreography but it just does't feel like they've invested their heart and soul in it like Taylor does. It's part of her DNA. Even Adele is starting to do stadium shows - a phenomenon like this is born once, and then others try to copy it. I do like Adele.
You can still do it the same way and have the lyrics in a second webpage… also, you should wait until the end to comment if it’s gonna be a negative comment… otherwise people are just not gonna come back to see you…. I’m not saying this as a Taylor swift follower, i’m saying it to you in general! ((Not criticizing at all, only giving my point of view… i’m other words my comment))
Thank you! You would like …I Think It’s called making of the Song Reputation. Since you produce and write you might enjoy that process. I Did Something Bad same making then that live is great. You might also like End Game has Future Sheeran rapping video, Getaway Car Making if song then live. 1989 Tour it is ver Pop but it’s considered pop bible. I get what you’re saying about beats. Just some ideas. I’m a big rap fan too so I appreciate the lyrical and beats but also separately. I think you do jump a little quick only because she is a bridge QUEEN!! ❤❤. Enjoy if you keep going. Don’t feel stupid I didn’t notice either but I get it feels different live. Also realize at concert you want a variety not necessarily the same at least my opinion. Seen Brittny she was great!!!
Love all of these reactions to Taylor! Have you listened to much of The Weeknd? Talk about an amazing live show. If you go to my page you can see little clips I took from seeing him at Mile High in 2022. Love for you to react to him. He’s about to release his last album of his last trilogy as The Weeknd.
LIve elevates this song a lot. the instrumental is better than studio. I love most of reputation tour versions really. But in this case Don't Blame ME from Eras Tour is another level. both the concert movie and i can attest for the live too, an unforgetable moment. And just do your reactions however you feel like. but keep them at actual reactions. Maybe do lyric videos. Then watch MVs or live of those songs if you feel like it
Your videos aren’t doing numbers because your thumbnails are really bad. You need to at least have a screenshot from your actual video as a thumbnail if you don’t know how to make them. Don’t just use a screenshot of only Taylor from videos swifties have all seen a million times it’ll get passed over constantly

The song as perfect as it is it doesn’t need to be faster. Taylor said she wanted it to sound like you’re in church.

You should watch this song from the Era's tour with the transition into Look What You Made Me Do. It gives me chills every time!

It’s actually not shorter I don’t think? I’m pretty sure she does both full versions of the songs just back to back with a mashup in the middle.

Prefer a blind reaction. And you're right, sometimes you have to wallow in it for awhile to appreciate and love it.
Improv. Natural. It's your asset.
