Hey I just bought a zx6r too and I’m having same problem as u the fuel pump doesn’t prime but starts on starting fluid if u could upload how u fix that would be greatly appreciated
For 1000 bikes as long as they’re not stolen and the engines are good there’s a lot of money in Parts even if you can’t ride them, but that 636 is definitely a gem. You just gotta be careful with second gear.
bought a zx6 a few months back from a guy who did basically the same kind of wiring shit as this one had. Insane. People will hot glue wires together and electrical tape their way around easily fixable issues.
As a certified Honda technician this is hard to look at, looks like a good project though. Your better off just installing a new wiring harness but it won’t be cheap and the routing will be challenging.

On another note, that ZX chain ain't seen lube in a decade. That joint was so crucnhy. Yo, that wiring mess though. Oof, never like seeing that. Oh, and it's more like a $1000 ZX and a free Katana haha!

@ your welcome , I had the same exact issue with the zx6r as well when I took everything apart and started to do my digging the harness was complete junk , so I replaced harness and still couldn’t get anything to fire up . I just gave up and sold the bike . Good luck bro love the vids

I've never seen you fix any of the cheap bikes you buy. This is just my opinion and not a fact, but honestly, you should just be grateful you find such great deals and stop focusing on the small stuff. I can see if the guy scammed you or you over paid. Ya I've seen some real questionable fixes when buying used alot of people just trying to sell off there crap to the next guy smh...
