Excellent detail review of the Nitecore HC35 without talking. Music and the video fast forward makes it look like an action movie. Nitecore should pay you for doing this review because I am going to buy me one. Thanks for the review video.
Cable ties at the end was a great tip and also nice beam shots in different locations.
Yes, is better with cable ties the lamp is more stable closer to the helmet. Even the weight seams less.

Great review. Just worth mentionning that the 2700 lumen turbo mode only works for 30 seconds, not the 45 minutes listed on the manual. The lamp was tested without thermo regulation mode. However there is no way for user to turn it off which results in the lamp stepping out of turbo mode at the 30 seconds mark. It really is too bad because if it was possible to turn it off and actually have the lamp work fine even if hot for those 45 min then it absolutely would be the best out there.

Replaced the headband and clip with the new plastic one from skilhunt (dosent scratch the hell out the anodising like the stock one) the clip is alittle stretched out but seems much better than nitecores offering. Also the turbo runtimes are bogus it has a 30 sec step down timer dosent matter how cool the torch is it will step down to 800lm you can boast it back up but after 3 cycles it will not go into turbo so 45min is utter rubbish

@@p.g1392 Yes, you are right. It is mainly a walking light, not a spot light. For cavers like me, wild photographers or cameraman, is perfect. Watch the HC35, is more directional.

Got the same flashlight and loved it in end of 2019 used it everyday at work, then switch stopped working- emailed nitecore- but because I got in Hong Kong on vacation I was out of luck seems that this world company has no USA support. If i want it repaired I need to pay to ship to China. Good Luck
Excellent review, but is it advisable on the helmet for MTB use? I have some doubts about weight / balance
Sincerely, no. I don't advise this lamp for MTB or running, it is too heavy. Good for walking, caving, camping, working, but not for speed sports.

I ask several online shops if there is a built-in magnet on the cap which is mentioned in your review, some say it has and others doesn't. can you assure me that the authentic Nitecore hc35 really has built in magnet (included in manual/description), since im planning to buy one. Im just worried that I'll be getting a fake instead of original. Thanks
The original one has a magnet in the tail cap, I can confirm this.

Questa torcia pur essendo molto specifica mi è proprio piaciuta! Spero che le 21700 prendano il posto delle 18650 è vero che costano ancora molto ma le prestazioni ci sono!
Speriamo escano delle "normali" torce con gli stessi led e la stessa batteria.

Quando ho preso in mano la torcia, ho pensato che era troppo grande. Poi provandola sul casco era un po' troppo al limite, ma attacandola direttamente al casco con delle fascette (finale del video) rientra nei parametri della portabilità.
La luce che fa è semplicemente confortevole e gradevole, ben diffusa. Penso diventa la mia luce principale in grotta.
Mi sa che esiste già un torcia normale con batt 21700:

@@SirioSechi si sembra studiata e costruita bene, ho pensato anche io fosse un po grande per metterla sul casco.
Bella anche la torcia che mi hai linkato, vedo che stanno rinnovando tutto il catalogo implementando le 21700 con quick charge e porta USB type c.

I am a Dane and have found that the problem of battery without top, can be solved by getting a Danish 10 pennines in plus place.
It doesn't hurt because a battery with a top is longer and it's not too big.
Make sure that the battery is not worn at the edges at plus, as you may short-circuit the battery by Danish 10 pennines.
Coins are dirty, so also use a glass fiber pencil for the coin, but also battery, hc35.

How good is the headlamp stability on a helmet without the cable ties ?I want this for my cycle rides
On a helmet the stability is not enough because the plastic of the helmet is too slippery, then on a helmet, if you are on a path in mountain-bike is better add cable ties. If you are on a flat road, no problem.
If you fix it directly on the head and tigh well the head band is OK.
