I don't know why they always play this song at a fast tempo live. To me it sounds better at a slower tempo like on the original recording.
Only Steve can slay this song slow or fast tempo

Was AC/DC a cover band after Bon Scott died? Was Genisis a cover band after Peter Gabriel left? Was Van Halen a cover band after DLR left and Sammy Hagar came on board. Lots of groups have had multiple lead singers. (Deep Purple, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, and a bunch more.) Journey was great with Steve Perry and they're still great with Arnel. And they sure as hell ain't no cover band!!!!!!

World/British/American/International Review magazines and others who made the survey, never was sp's name appeared/found even to just nominess.- band front singer, voice, or any categories....steve perry-not written nor mentioned nor found anywhere.
Even if just the initial sp... NOT FOUND! N/A! NONE!

Here in May 2020 during lockdown. I bet this concert is one of the so many they did on previous years. Journey with Arnel Pineda is so awesome to watch. Lots of chemistry there, it shows.
After Perry, I would say Deen sings the best. He sounds more like Steve than anyone, cand he's a great drummer of course. Been checking out Journey Through Time with him singing and it sounds fucking great.

This Concert looks incredible !! Goosebumps performance of AP !~! AP has that tenor unique masculine voice that has a natural rasp that makes it amazing !! He masters the song perfectly and is able to sing like in-studio recording while he is doing Concerts on LIVE---night after night !!!
AP"s vocal versatility, talent, and unbelievable energy are the fuel that keeps the Journey Concert rocking for many years !!
This time they performed in Montreal--- I heard that even those French Canadians ( highly French-speaking in Quebec ) that saw Arnel for the first time were amazed about his performance and claimed that they have their money's worth-- - they love Journey with AP to be back again in Montreal!
Can't wait to see Journey Concert with AP again--SOON !! Bravo AP !!!

Oh my. Don't get me wrong I loved Journey but it is time to hang it up. Poor Arnel, they have fried his voice, I'm not saying its bad but it aint what it used to be. The only thing I see here that is the same is Neil on the guitar, but I didn't even see him singing. sometimes you just have to let go of the past and and move on. Move on guys.

Tim, those were good albums, but they couldn't get much, if any, airplay with what those albums had to offer, according to Schon. Once Perry came aboard, things changed for the better.

Neal is really an amazing guitarist.......missed Steve Perry's silent scream.....Glad your still playing JOURNEY music....However, it has to be said....... there will NEVER be another STEVE PERRY.......he has a VOICE from the heavens......still has a voice from the heavens....he sounds sexy as he has aged!!!!!!! It is just not the JOURNEY I love!!!!
Some of us think that they're not ROCK Journey without Greg Rolie. They became POP Journey with Jonathan Cain.

Between the Drop D tuning, and harmonica...I just can't. The band has took a 4 decades old staple and fucked it. Neal has whored out my favorire band of allllll time.

This song just feels empty without Steve's beautiful high notes...
Steve can't sing anymore and if you don't mind New Journey is better than before the songs are really really rock songs..vibrant and powerfull. Old Journey is only good in the past because most of the songs today have been changed and the tone has been increased to make it more appealing, because the listeners today are different than your time.
