Finding one with PPF is a good find indeed.

Hey thats a pretty good deal man. I’m probably gonna buy used at some point too when it gets down to the 20’s for me. My only thing is there’s no super chargers near me. Have you tried non Tesla chargers?

I have tried non-Tesla chargers and I haven't really had any issues. The only issue I could ever see with it is there there is no real-time monitoring in the vehicle for the charge status of the site. The good news is there are external apps for it like the ChargePoint app. I only really ever Supercharge when I go on a road trip, otherwise all my daily charging is done at home!

Great deal and sweet ride. Shame your (or previous owner's) insurance did not cover the cracked windscreen but at least they discounted the replacement cost. The other things you mentioned are easily fixed or ignored (eg, you can buy seat leather repair kits and glam up!).

Exactly! I love modding each car I have to make it my own so it was a great project.

Have the controls, or lack of controls, been an adjustment?

At first yes, I’ve gotten very used to using voice commands. The biggest adjustment has been the climate controls. I’m used to just moving my vent for different air but I have to go into the screen and adjust where the air is blowing. Lots of automatic settings for wipers, lights, and a/c!

Thanks, that was interesting. Were you able to Supercharge it during that week of ownership transition? If not, that could be a problem with a long trip home. Thanks, Phil

I was worried about that! I topped off at a ChargePoint charger in town and set off at about 73% for the way home. If I stayed below 70 mph, I would’ve been able to make it. I cruised at 67 mph and was on track to make it home but I did stop at one supercharger and was able to charge with no issues. I tried it again the next day and was also able to supercharge. I believe it ended up on the previous owners account since the vehicle was purchased shortly after he traded it. It was a big worry, but easily manageable if you plan for the transition!

Its good.....but for not that much more you can get new...

    • @CooperSCaleb05

Kinda but that’s not quite comparable. For about $4,000 more than what I paid you can get a standard range plus, in the base color, basic autopilot, and the partial premium interior. A comparable long range with full self driving and premium interior would be over $50k today, closer to $60k when new.
