Engrave text with SolidCam

Do you mean add engraving tool in SolidCam?
If so - maybe you added some wrong parameters of the tool. What are your tool parameters?

Hello Luben. Well, I could do it with Taper Mill tool and using HSM Parallel Pencil Milling. Becuase the place where the letters are placed is a curve. What do you use in that case? email me if you can [e-mail]

Hi Rafael,
Do you want to engrave a text on non flat (for example cylinder) surface? In this case there are many changes:
- in SolidWorks you have to create the text cut on non flat surface
- SolidCam should use some 4 axis post processor and operations are different.

Hi Rafael,
Do you have the 3D model of the blow moulding cavity?
Making moulding details is quite complex process, especially the surface finish. Depend on the detail you may use 2.5D or 3D milling

I do have the cavity, we are using HSM Linear with a 20 mm ball tool but when I pass the same strategy with a 6 mm ball the 20 mm still leaves a rest material, even we are using wall and floor offsets at 0 mm. What do you suggest?
