- Hello my CosplayFam! 🥰
I'm super excited to share with you a very special piece of video this time. It's my first time producing a CMV from the scratch, with mostly my equipment and in general on my own when it comes to edit the video. A BIG STEP, big step it is. 😵
The idea was pretty simple as we just planned to have a nice Death Note shooting with Purin and Dorian during last summer aaaaand I just offered them to 'maybe let's make a smol cute video in meantime the shots?'. And yeah. Then a "Death Note: The Musical" rocked my world and I knew I had to use one of the songs to portray it in a CMV.
You can imagine how this CMV just overtook the shoot in general lolol. XD
I feel guilty as hell as it was SUPER demanding from my actors to be a cameraman for me once I've been in front of camera as L. Also it was not comfortable at all to record all of it in a costume - I even had to take my wig off often to not die from heat... We worked on a set starting 7:30 AM and finishing it all around 4:00 AM on the next day.😅
Of course it's not a perfect video. So many editing mistakes, some of the shots had to be taken from bloopers as I've missed a few shots of myself as I was so busy about thinking about getting the other ones. But this project gave me so much in terms of handling a production, lighting, props, logistics and post production that I'M SURE then next one will be much, much better.

Gotta love that Misa's just hanging out there awkwardly. Definitely fits the vibe of the song. "Hey light! Look! I wrote you a song! Pay attention to me!" "That's very nice honey, now if you'll excuse me I need to engage in semi-consensual bondage play with a psychopathic insomniac."
Those last 2 lines sentt me on a spiritual journey

I unironically love how this video is staged in the various sets too, the visual symbolism really goes off.

This is amazing, the way you perfectly replicated L's movements was so satisfying to watch, it wasn't just cosplay, you really were the characters!

You nailed everyone!! L having poor posture and an awkward body language, light being confident and poised, Mikasa being sexy and just kinda there 😂 it’s all so perfect!!
I especially love the chess board scene and L sitting before a table of sweets 😂

This is insanely cool. Everything about the production is fire: the costumes, the set, the camera work, the editing and even the acting. You really brought the characters to life. It's the first time I see a live action Light that is just like the animated one.

First things first the the camera movements and editing is amazing top notch! I love the L cosplayer adopting his mannerisms like the opposing with the phone and adopting L's posture as well. I love how at 1:58 you can clearly see the L cosplayer trying to reach for the Death Note that the Light cosplayer stuffed in their bag. Really nice details.
Also the handcuffs are a nice detail along with the red and blue lighting which is a throwback to the original anime which showed L and Light in those colors when they first met.
Also the Misa cosplayer is amazing and their movements are amazing ! Also the photos of Light they're holding being ACTUAL PHOTOS of the Light cosplayer. You can tell there was a lot of time and thought put into this

I'd like to see an alternate reality in which Misa goes through all that trouble to meet Kira but it turns out to be a 60 year old truck driver with a baldspot who showers once a week.

wow this is a whole lot more amazing than I thought it would be! especially the effort that went into the cosplay and replicating the characters' movements! usually I find the wigs ppl wear to look out of place but this looked reaaallly niceee! good job!!

Powiem tak: ARCYDZIEŁO. Serio, teraz nie żałuję, że musiałam tak długo na to czekać. WARTO BYŁO. Gra aktorska była rewelacyjna. Od żadnej postaci nie mogłam oderwać wzroku, były perfekcyjnie dopracowane pod każdym względem. Nawet nie pytam, jak długo musieliście pracować nad montażem: na pewno Wam to zajęło mnóstwo czasu. Ja sama kiedyś reklamę jako pracę domową z angielskiego nagrywałam 30 minut, a montaż zajął mi 2 godziny, ale to nie ma żadnego porównania z waszym projektem. Chylę czoła przed cosplayerami, brającymi udział w tym projekcie, przed kamerzystami, montażystą. Jesteście wielcy! Brawa jeszcze raz!

Totalnie nie mam pojęcia nawet co napisać. To było świetne. Muzyka jest idealna, w punkt, aż miałam ciarki słuchając jej. Cosplaye po prostu olśniewają. Zabójczy Kira, genialny L i przepiękna Misa. Sceneria idealnie wpasowana w klimat serii. Na pewno jeszcze nie raz będę słuchać tej piosenki bo to co stworzyliście przerosło moje jakiekolwiek oczekiwania. nawet nie wyobrażam sobie ile pracy, czasu i trudu musiało zostać włożone żeby stworzyć to CMV. Ogromne gratulacje dla was za świetne cosplaye i cudowną grę aktorską, dla całej ekipy która pracowała przy nagrywaniu i każdego kto przyczynił się do powstania tego filmiku. Stworzyliście filmik-perełkę. Nic dodać nic ująć.

Niesamowita robota. Nie ważne, czy mówimy o stronie technicznej, cosplayowej, aktorskiej czy choćby samej scenografii, wszystko jest wykonane tak, że odbiera mowę. Podziwiam bardzo mocno całą ekipę twórców!
