Mr. Willson photo bombed the end of the video! neat tool, takes all the guess work out of setting the depth for planting even if there are differences from end to end. all of the best tools are kept simple and durable. great idea to take all the guess work out of setting the proper depth. nice video good luck Brandon.
Enjoyed this video a lot. Do you know I have asked most major TH-camrs about testing their meters on Meter Benches and have never seen a meter tested on a Chanel nor seen anyone acknowledge their importance. I would love to see you to a video on Bench Testing a Meter & Meter tuneups to remove Skips & Doubles. Don’t know why those other guys don’t use one or don’t know of them. Strange when you see them do so many videos on Skips Doubles & the importance of Stand Count & Accuracy.
This is definitely a good idea for a video I'll have to talk to Dan and see if we can do a video on how the test bench works he can literally simulate it just like the planter would be going through the field
@@dirtgrainsteel it’s hard to believe the number of guys that will run out and spend 5 or even 10k in parts per row to improve a planter but never but a meter on a stand & never check the bushings & play in a planters frame.
Clever idea! It's nearly impractical to check soil depth of all rows in the field. With this tool, an initial calibration makes them all the same depth. It might be necessary to adjust for soil type later but they can all have the same adjustment amount to keep the same depth on all rows.
I saw that at a Farm show and i used 2X4 boards and a piece of ply wood and checked my IH 900 and found they were off a lot but still work on the same idea
Regarding farm tools and output cost, 185 is a drop in the bucket for better yields. Farmers will make up the 185 in no time planting the correct depth.
Great video, be sure a film all your planting. Thanks
Definitely will thank you!

Pretty cool little item I'll have to check it out myself
Checked our Kinze this spring. My Becks seed advisor brought one out to the farm and helped check ours. Works pretty slick.
That’s a neat tool to have makes the job simple and easy 👍

That’s a really cool toy!! Lol.

yep that would be easy peasy to make

What was the name of the concoction you used to get rid of the smell of mice pee inside the cab of the combine?
Just pure cheap vodka nothing special
Do you like that airbag jack? I think they would be handy as hell
That was something you could have made in the shop in minutes why waste a couple hundred dollars
