There is trend to leave the west and retire in less expensive regions for those on a slim pension. Not sure if nz allows super to be taken from overseas but I find it a less stressful option, albeit away from family. Definitely plan B for me, just in case.

Does your tool include options like expecting zero superannuation, or (more importantly) some kind of wealth tax where I can say "x% wealth tax for all assets above $x"? e.g. - 1% wealth tax for all assets over $1m.

It does include the option not to include superannuation.
But doesn’t have any wealth tax. Main reason for not including any wealth tax is that neither of the two major political parties in NZ currently have this as part of their policy portfolio.
