I just bought a techless wise phone II and this app is the maps offered. I have never used this app. What am I missing ? No matter what address I search for it does not populate.
I love this app except that it's routes are off. Planning a route from Brookside, AL to McDonough, Ga, it routes me NE 60 miles before actually heading SE where McDonough is. I use the avoid freeway/ferry/off road options normally as I like to travel surface roads and see the sights as I travel. Have watched your videos previously and am watching them again.
switched to organic maps for the reasons mentioned in the video. Import bookmarks option works only on directories or drive. Wich means it imports all KML/KMZ files - wich can be annoying. Would make sense to select one , selected or all via additional menu.
hi, currently when i put an exact address to map it only gives the street and then asks to route from. i give specific address b, but the only want to hive the street address to map from ?? how do i get specific address location to location? i don't want to get to the street and spend 20-30 min trying to find the address guessing where my appointment is
I just installed Organic and you're right, I entered the number but still gives me the whole street. This is absolutely ridiculous and makes the app unusable.
I don't have the voice instructions on this app? It is there but I cannot enable it for some reason. Says I have to download it from one of the markets. But I don't know what to look for.
Organic Maps uses the system voice of the phone. On most phones, this is found in Settings and searching for "Text To Speech" where you can see the settings and choose voices from there. If adjusting settings there does not work, you can contact Organic Maps and they may be able to suggest a fix organicmaps.app/ All their contact info is at the bottom of that page
@@mikehawk7307 Try this, it might help. TTS and CalyxOS seems to require some extra work to get it working right old.reddit.com/r/CalyxOS/comments/v3ilsz/tts_and_calyxos/
Yes. If it's in OpenStreetMap, it will be in the app. You can try test searches at openstreetmap.org first to see if the places you want to find are in there.
Generally yes, but it does like the shortest distance, so often avoids by-passes (Maps.me is same). Hopefully a toggle can be introduced one day between shortest & quickest route.
HERE is awful, don't bother using it. I've used it for many years and they destroyed the app after an update. That's why I'm moving to Organic or Magic Earth.

@@sat103 Thanks for the quick reply. Well I am running CaylxOS and I am sure that is what the problem is.

Review Here WeGo next! It also supports offline maps.
