I love the Metro franchise, it is one of the four games that sold me on getting a Meta Quest 3 last month. It really is a great year for VR, hoping that other big franchises start putting out good games on VR to help it keep growing/improving. Assassin’s Creed Nexus Batman Arkham Shadow Metro Awakening Alien Rogue Incursion
Don't forget Behemoth! It's a new franchise but it should be amazing too and then there's the Arizona Sunshine remake and a few new games still to come out. Great end of the year for VR, quite impressive list of forthcoming titles.
Thanks for putting this out man. I absolutely love metro and have not much money so I’ve been saving myself from buying a game until this releases. From what I’ve seen it will be awesome and very engaging. How’s the sound?
Unfortunately I was at the exibithion, that was very noisy, so barely understandable. I think same level as arizona sunshine 2. But please check also Behemoth preview. I'll find interesting as well. :)
You probably understand why this happens, I say to the guy who wrote a comment about the game being "actively promoted", but in my opinion it's a little different here, although it ends up being PR :) The reviewer and hosts of TH-cam channels are given the go-ahead to keep it confidential until such and such a date and, unfortunately, they can't do anything about it and when "D-day" comes, they all fill the TH-cam information field with impressions of the same game on the same day. This results in some overabundance. But what I consider stupid behavior on the part of the developer Vertigo is that they don't allow the PCVR version of Metro Awakening to be shown yet, only PCVR2. That's the idiotic paradox :) I don't know the reasons, I just saw a video from one of the hosts of the channels where he talked about the game, but he wasn't allowed to show the PCVR version to the public. That is, bureaucracy is everywhere, even in the video game industry, and such seemingly simple things as showing this or that version of the game are something unimaginable :) Either they have an agreement with Sony, or not everything is smooth with the PCVR version yet, I can only assume based on the fact that VR games after release definitely need further polishing, optimization, like many other projects of our time. I'm not saying that absolutely all games suffer from this, but lately, there have become more of them than before, as if there are fewer talented people than those who simply follow the same idiotic agenda that permeates various categories of the entertainment industry, be it cinema or video games. I appreciate the Metro series and I really enjoy listening to audiobooks Metro 2033, 34, 35 and others, and each game about Metro is worth its weight in gold, and I want such people to approach the creation of the game who would treat the development process with soul and attention to detail. For example, an important part such as interaction with NPCs, filling the game universe with people, their stories. After all, in the game Metro 2033 everything was somehow livelier, and from those segments of Awakening that we were shown, it feels like the developers did not pay due attention to this aspect of the game. Plus, how strange it is to hear English speech in the tunnels of the Moscow metro and most importantly, that this speech is still with a Russian accent. Authenticity is also lost because of this. I am glad that Dmitry Glukhovsky is involved again and wrote a story, I hope it is really interesting, because every time you want the story about new adventures from the world of Metro to be exciting, interesting.
Assassin's Creed Nexus VR Asgard's Wrath 2 REd Matter 2 Medal of Honor Above and Beyond Walking Dead Santes and Sinners Plus the few PSVR exclusives like Horizon CotM (I didn't tried none, I don't have a PSVR, but they seem good) VR is full of great games besides Alyx
I have Assassin’s Creed Nexus but haven’t played it yet..still need to get Medal of Honor.I’m honestly not that interested in Red Matter 2,I really couldn’t get into the first Red Matter
Yes my friend you are totally right. I loved Vertigo 2 also, res4 remake vr. For what I have seen now looks metro will be in the top 3 positions. But will see in the full release :) I have high expectations with Behemoth.
@@JShodanVRI have no doubt, this will be Vertigo’s best game to date.I loved Arizona Sunshine 1 & 2 and After The Fall but considering they are making a VR game of the beloved Metro series,I have no doubts they are going to go above and beyond.both the Metro author and members of Deep Silver are working with Vertigo to make this game. Metro Awakening may turn out better than Batman & Behemoth.I’m looking forward to Metro,Batman & Behemoth equally but I have always been a huge fan of the Metro series.the only linear story driven FPS franchise I can put on the same level as Metro,is Bioshock(which I hope we can one day get on Quest 3)
@@JShodanVR Vertigo has mostly released zombie slop games with coop that makes them fun. Theyre not bad, but theyre not GOOD at Alyx` level. This is a single player only game so we will see how it turns out, if it has any depth or length to it.
bringing up Metro Exodus is not a good idea as this also targets Quest and so it's closer to the PS3 games in scope and size and choice for corridor environments, much like Batman Arkham Shadow
@ as I have lots to play, I think I’ll wait for metro to go on sale. It’s £32.99 now and I’ll buy at about £20. If there was more action and less boring walking and talking , it would absolutely be an instant buy but I tried to play past metro games and the talking bored me to death. It’s a real shame because of this, I may never experience metro awakening. I’ve just spent money on too many games that I was unsure about and it was a waste and I feel really annoyed that I didn’t trust my initial instincts But the thing is, my initial impression can sometimes be bad or just not great, like Returnal and then I play game and love it. I’m trying to force myself to finish call of the mountain to free up about 40mins on ps5 but the game is so boring and I get massive eye strain due to the slow janky turning. After 5mins of boring climbing I’m like screw this crap lol and don’t even get me started on Kayak Vr 😭
@@grahamkelly8662 You're right, I had the exact same impression. I gave up on all three "flat" Metro games after just a few hours because they were boring and tedious. On the other hand, I loved Returnal almost immediately. You're making the right choice by saving your money, but I can recommend Synapse, which should be included in the PlayStation Plus lineup this month.

I hope the gameplay will be outside as well? Not just inside the building in the dark the whole time
I don't know at the moment. But in Metro 2023 you had few chances to go outside. Will see.
How do these small channels start off with so much good equipment?
I have a big channel in my country. But thanks for notice ❤
I'm doing my best.
will come to pc vr
Yes sure.
nooooooo not the fookin spiders ;((((((((((

In RM there's not enough action imho but is for sure a good showcase about what a small team can achieve with a standalone headset.

Ehehe :p
Yes you bet
It's probably pretty good, but TH-camrs need to stop hyping up games so much. I swear to god I'm so tired of that since the whole Bonelab situation.
Yeah I get it. But this is from vertigo, they now what they're doing:):)
And non TH-camrs need to stop complaining
