I love watching people who don't understand how cities skylines works at a high level of mechanics mastery play the game and have to feel their way through the systems and mechanics, trying to make sense of it. This game is so complex and hard to learn, but man is it rewarding to slowly master the mechanics. Quite a few choices AA made made me physically flinch, though. I wonder if there is a master guide written out about Cities Skylines meant to make all the different mechanics more easily digestible for new players. If not, I'm genuinely surprised but I also know the thing would be as thick as a dictionary.

I always turn industry zones into far off, crappy looking dirt road complexes that branch off of 6 Lane 1 way toll booths in both directions They get to the city and drop off their goods at the commercial areas, never treading into the residential area Basically, we hate the industry
What rules are this on? Lol, worried about money, but you are building roads, terraforming, and instantly building commercial and mid level residential? Would love if you explained the rules you were on for the game beforehand.
Cute idea of the challenge but as the island became quite large it should not have been 3 separate peninsulas of things. If you think about how far people would be driving to work or for services from far end of residential to far end of commercial or even far end of industrial it's far. Industrial is OK cause in real life people will travel longer and work longer hours with industrial jobs more often but it still likely has a few small nighboorhoods and a couple of markets in it and same eith some shopping In more Residential areas and some residential inside more shopping areas once they become large and more than 15 minutes average away. It should be rare to spend more than that to get basic needs atleast with personal transportation.
