Northern tool sells one and its the only one I can find in the lower wattage range that is 240V.

Just purchased one of these for Offgrid living I have 4hours on the clock so far. Excited to see how it does on fuel compared to a dual fuel version that I borrowed. One thing I liked about the dual fuel it had a usage gauge that lit up green the more it was working. Now with this one the protect light turns red if you are working it to hard.
One thing with open frame gens is easy to work on..👍🏼 good luck with the new unit!
What do you think of this open frame from champion? A lot of power for a fair price for sure.
Obviously not as quiet as the enclosed frame inverter but being lighter and cheaper seems like a decent buy if looking for a decent amount of power.

Note: power decreases 3-1/2% per 1000 feet elevation for any gen, any fuel. See owner manual: Operation at High Altitude, for carburetor high altitude main jets (3300 - 9800 ft).

Before I buy this for my mobile detailing, the dB are about the same as my pressure washer. Have you ever heard of WEN generator, if yes are lounder than champion and are they good.
Wen also makes a good unit and actually can be a clone of each other with minimal difference. If not champion wen is a great option as well. Obviously the open frame will be louder.
I watched all your generator videos. They're awesome . One question. If you had to pick the most quiet unit in the 3500 range who would it be? Honda/yamaha aside. Thanks
Well the predator and champion 4500 are the quietest ones. I like the champion over the predator honestly.
Just buy a warranty with what ever you go with.

I don’t hear many complaints with them except the choke wiring issue which is a easy fix. But most seem to have good luck with that model as well.
@johnnysweekends I seen a test on a generac iq3500, and in that test it beat out the honda eu3000i, have you tested that generator?
That machine is definitely the clear winner when it comes to DBs. Unfortunately it's heavy. No wheels. No remote start. No duel fuel. No frills
Would you recommended this as a an emergency generator? Prepping for the big one out in CA. Got pretty much everything except backup power. I’m a little weary of storing gas.
If you don’t want to store gas then a dual fuel has alot of benefits because even if the carb plugs up propane will still work. 👍🏼
I think it's best to get a Dual Fuel unit. I just burn propane, but know that gasoline would work in a pinch.

I have the 4250 version of this type of inverter generator. Does anyone know what running cover will fit? I purchase a gentent but the frame but it will not fit.
You were pulling 25 amps on a single 20 amp outlet, strange the circuit breaker didn't open.
Yea normally most circuits will hold more then the set 20 by a couple amps but sometimes length of time or heat will make it pop quicker. Or if it’s a older breaker it could pop quicker as well.
But some generators do trip much quicker . Depends on the model and sneaking up on it is where it always seems to find the fault in when they trip. Burst loads trip quick, but sneaking up for some reason not all shut off like they should

All of them are. But for the most part they design them in the us and then request the build and they are assembled over seas. Pretty much like 90 percent of everything we own now. Cars, phones and more.
Looking at the Champion video on this it looks like you can't fully plug in the RV cord since the bottom of the face frame sticks out....or stated another way the RV receptacle is recessed. Do you find that to be an issue?
Depends on your cord but also the Rv plug is flipped so you will plug it in upside down.
It worked fine on my plug. I just looped it.

Maybe mine was different as the ground is at the top like in the video.

Yes this is do the emergency back up maybe if you have land. Or off grid or boondocking I guess. But definitely louder then the enclosed type
