Would love a hosted ride event here in Nor Cal to take a up close look at both the new Outset and Anthem. I’m up in Bodega, CA. Just down the road from the Sonoma Coast, and am looking at my first motorcycle purchase in the next 12-16 months. Been watching Ryvid very closely, ever since Electrek did a first ride and article on them. I love the idea of electric, for many reasons, and could make either model work in my day to day, especially at a sub $6 or 7k starting price (Outset and Anthem respectively). It’s as close to a no brainer for me, as makes little difference. 👍🏻
@@ryvid_ev I saw that, and it’s a bit compelling. Was hoping for something closer to me, even in SF would be worth it, depending on the day. I’m patient, and in the meantime, I’ll keep reading up on the CA DMV motorcycle handbook…😉
I love this video, its like part Batman, part Mad Max. I would love to see a version of this bike with plastic fenders, dual sport tires. it would be a nice offroad machine.
As far as I know, pricing is still being worked out. But you are correct, the actuator is deleted. The Outset is going to be at a static 33 inch saddle height. It will also have a more narrow seat so your stand over height should be more comfortable and upright with less tendency to be bowlegged on the saddle. i’d also would say you would get higher quality parts with the outset as far as the fully adjustable suspension upgrades they’re adding. with the outfit you’ll have clickable adjusters for damping and compression rebound individually. I also believe that the first pre-orders will have the upgraded ASI controller included as standard. All around you’re getting a pretty damn good kit package out of the box. 😎 it will definitely be a day one for me. ❤⚡️🏍️⚡️
Yes the battery is very noticeable and takes away from the body design but the bike itself looks awesome. Obviously there has to be a compromise somewhere and the battery is set up the way it is for the purpose of easy dismounting and making the battery mobile. I think maybe they could hide it a bit more with a clever color scheme on it.

If it wasn't so ugly. The whole suitcase strapped under the gas tank thing is not something they obviously are proud of.
The battery is easy to swap and is in the optimal place for wheel balance, idk what more they could've done
