Hi Bob, thank you for this video. Seeing how many more steps this woman has to take to live the lifestyle she chooses is very inspirational. Those of us who have the full use of all our physical capabilities are fortunate. My daughter was injured severely in an auto accident at age 18, 20 years ago now. Watching her and others persevere and live life mistakes and all, makes me endeavor every day to live a life with no excuses. One step forward and 2 steps back, but we make progress nontheless. Wow, fear can paralyze us more than physical disability. I've learned a lot from your channel, thank you. ✌

She's so freaking cool. So many people want to live vanlife but they're not because while they're disabled by their fears. This woman is challenged physically, but her faith has allowed her mind to soar and she's putting actions behind her dreams. May we all have that level of faith, if not in a God, at least in ourselves.

This woman is awesome. I have bad legs, but I can walk a little bit. I tried to camp in my small SUV. It just didn`t work. So, I bought a small trailer. But with the trailer, I only get eleven miles per gallon. This lady has it going on. If I meet her, I would like her to teach me how I can do better. I will be full time next month, I hope to meet her or someone like her.

This was so interesting to watch... I gave away the lift on my short bus I had. If ever she needs a lift in another vehicle, maybe look for those building out a bus who may be removing there's anyway. Also the ADA often helps w the cost of a lift. Holy molley, $40000for a lift is ridiculous.

  • @menorah7

Well I guess that proves than anybody can do it. But she does make a very valid point about financial the fact that she has some sort of obviously free medical coverage as well as a big settlement has helped her and even though probably from what I get out of it the settlement is dwindling down it still takes money. To make the the initial leap into this lifestyle. If she was struggling financially like most of us on disability are doing I don't know how easy it would have been for her to get on the road. I love to see later a follow-up video and see how she is doing. She's has a great attitude and I hope she can find a rig that will really work for her and I also hope that she is taking advantage of the caravans that way she won't have to travel alone all the time. She is Canadian so obviously she's snowbirds down but maybe eventually she will do you doing it full-time. I will try to remember her in my prayers and I appreciate her willingness to talk about her strong faith. Best to her.

There's always an excuse not to follow your dreams if you're looking for one. As long as you have a vehicle, you can do van life. People are living this life on $500 a month. And anyone in the US on disability also has medical insurance.

I am not in a wheelchair as of yet but was in almost the same scenario. I was in a truck accident. The driver hit a guardrail on my side and I had to be cut out of it and flown to a hospital. My life was not where it should have been and I was going down a wrong road for sure with drinking and the wild life. I have always been a believer yet I see now that the Lord was giving me small signs that I needed to slow down and I wasn't listening. It took me almost dying before I saw what he meant. As the truck was flipping over and over I saw my grandson's face. I know the Lord was telling me he needed me. Since the accident in 2016 I have stopped drinking, his mother left him the day after I got back from RTR in my minivan and then in October of 2021 she was killed in a car accident. So I had to take over the mother position for a while. That being said, things have gotten so much better for he and I . My son has a beautiful new home in a very good school district, a fiance and a new baby on the way. I still get my grandson normally three days a week if I want. So, I now have the freedom to RESTART my van travels. God is good! ❤️🙏

I really don't know why but it really does break my heart to see such beautiful woman in such a situation, my heart goes out to her and I hope that she gets more than just a minivan. I've lived in my minivan for almost four years and let me tell you I want out. Living in your minivan can be very fun and adventurous, but it can quickly turn into a very lonely and dark place, or dangerous depending on where you are. Even with my doggo. From Los Angeles California God bless.

Well said, I hate how van life is romanticized as the end all be all alternative to housing. Most of the people out there are there out of financial constraints vs wanting to explore. Sure, there are the few who happen to be minimalist travelers but the majority have done this out of poverty.

I found your video today was watching it and I must commend you you’re very brave and I can only imagine your reasons for doing this, and one is to get the hell out of the house. I don’t blame you at all I know you haven’t done it full-time yet. I was considering selling my sticks and bricks and moving into my van or into a mobile home, but the reason I haven’t is because I see people having such a hard time finding a place to park and they really get into a tizzy when it breaks down and has to stay in the shop for couple Days. I think if I had a ton of money I would go buy property so that people could come and park their vans. Or there cars or whatever they’re living in and be able to live without having to move every night or every 14 days. I didn’t catch the name of your channel so I hope you find this message and give it to me. I thought you said it was wheels on wheels but I looked and I can’t find that. Hope I find you again.
