I would be VERY interested to know if you have ever gone out and bought items you’ve decluttered in the past. Like an “I shouldn’t have decluttered that video”. I know I have 😂
You really inspired me. I’ve canceled my subscription boxes, and drastically stopped buying things. I have a nice hoard of products I want to try, but am just not getting to. My skin is very sensitive so I rarely try new skincare. And I don’t want to risk a bad makeup day when I’m out and about, so I rarely try new makeup. And I rarely wear lip products other than balm. I stick with what I know and love. I’m also trying to not keep backups. It genuinely feels like a weight has been lifted. I’ve even unsubscribed from people on Insta and TH-cam. It just gets overwhelming and consumerism is a problem.
J Brunicardi this is good advice! I’ve been trying to approach a more minimal lifestyle where I use what I have before re-purchasing in order to develop a genuine opinion. I have found that I feel less stressed with less to work with and am slowly trying to use up my back ups. I no longer find joy in hoarding backups or buying impulsively
I found unsubscribing from most youtubers such a relief. I watch Jessica, Lisa E, Lisa , Zabrena & Emily. That's it. They are all so common sense and real, and never make a video that makes money by talking negatively about anyone. Only pos people on my lists!!

LOL 🤣😂😅I find I don't miss all that makeup. 😏 And yeah, still no room to grow! 🙄 Next goal, declutter time. Maybe I should shed ten items everytime I buy one makeup product. But skincare? Jessica, you make the BEST declutter videos ever. I have caught the "bug" and have been decluttering my house for the past month. Finished most everything, so my husband I started on our kitchen yesterday. We have been married for 31 years, and have multiple sets of dishes etc. At the end of today, I felt so "light" and "free" since I only kept the items I KNOW I will use. I love to just walk by and open some cabinets to just enjoy how well organized they are. We hit up Dollar Tree for tons of containers etc. and they worked beautifully! Thanks for the "nudge" to get me going on this declutter journey!!

Kathryn Goldberg ikr what I got from this video “hmm I need to check out Mac patisserie and darn maybe those laneige glosses are worth trying .. as well as that pretty Marc Jacobs shade. Omg 🙈🙈🙈 I’m not even a YTer and my shash is like 4x as big as Jess’s curated one, and while I’d like to curate mine, I use mine differently. For example I always put a base of a liner or a liquid lip because my lips are so underpigmented I hate having bare lips. Then I will add a bullet or gloss from there so I really do use all the “categories” except super drying liquid lips like Nyx lip lingerie and old CG ones.
OMG I love this! I always feel like I am missing out when I see youtubers have these huge collections but when they do declutters or tours they have sooo much unused and expired products! It's really satisfying knowing you will actually use products that you know you love! Love the idea and the video ❤️

I love this. I recently went through my whole makeup collection and was finally brave enough to throw out makeup that was years old or just stuff that I don’t use. I filled up a whole bedroom trash can! After watching this video, I really could stand to part with a lotttt more. I love that when you declutter you actually declutter. You don’t make excuses to hang onto something but you actually get rid of it and just keep your favorites. It’s very inspiring. I’d love to see what you do with tour collection once your all done! This is SO incredibly helpful. Lately I've simply been overwhelmed by the amount of products I have...it actually takes me longer to get ready in the mornings b/c I'm trying to decide what to use! I've purged quite a lot of products after watching some of your earlier videos but lip products are my weakness!! I've easily got close to 200 (including all iterations). This gives me hope that I can whittle my collection down to a chosen few that I simply love. Thank you so much!!!
Out of the L'oreal Color Rich Shine lipsticks, I think you would love Burnished Blush and Varnished Rosewood. They're gorgeous! They do tend to melt, so I just make sure to not keep them in my purse. I just leave em in my bathroom.
So sorry to hear people are upset about your decluttering. To each their own. I understand why you are doing this and I commend you. I try not to judge anyone for what they do (as long as they aren’t hurting anyone.). But personally, I am trying to keep my makeup to what I can reasonably use. It isn’t easy for me (and I’m not a TH-camr who gets PR), so I can only image it is much more difficult for you. But I give you a lot of credit for sticking to your principles.
Why the hell do people care. Most of the products shes passing on so someone else can use it. She also said it doesnt mean she doesny like them but has too many so why keep them

She says she liked something, they buy it and then get hurt, "because they feel so close to her", when she decides it isn't making the cut to the best of the best for her. A bit like they feel that their trust was broken? It's hard to explain, but there are articles and videos on this effect. It's the reason why TH-camr advertising is so successful too.
I've watched you for a long time. I've seen several of your declutters. There were so many times watching when I'd wish you'd be do this. I realize that takes time and growth. Seeing you progress to here has been coming. Glad you're happier with your curated collection!

I’m so glad you did this right now. I watched someone else’s video on a lip product that was being discontinued and how she was stocking up on it and it made me want to go out and do the same thing! Let me start by saying I applaud you for your decluttering videos. I’ve tried to declutter my lipsticks but I’ve gotten to the point it makes me anxious to get rid of anymore until they expire. I even tried the “does this give me joy” question and the answer was always YES! So I still have around 50. Ha.
Jessica,I would love to see a vanity tour,after your done with all your amazingly declutters,and you gave all your make-up a good place,because you realy need a reorganisation,after these huuuuge declutters.I am realy proud at you and what you are doing with your declutters.I think how smaller your collection is,how more you gonna love the products you still have.I am now on a no buy make-up for 19 months,and I started with a huge declutter,mostly products that were to old or expired.I still own a huge amount of make-up,and I am realy wanted to use up as many products as possible.I find it very hard to declutter my make-up,because I love every single piece I own,and even if a product don’t work for me,I always find a way to make that product work.I have still many new make-up,and I get those new make-up closed as long as possible,because than it Will stay much longer good.The only things I know that I van’t use up all before they get expired are my lipproducts,but I try to switch as often as possible,to make sure that I use them all,and I still own many eyeshadowpallets,and I continue using those untill the consistentie Will change or the smell.I now that my no buy make-up Will last me for several years but I realy don’t mind that,I Will go on with it untill I own a normal amount of make-up.I Will make myself a list for the future how many products I allow myself to own in each make-up catagory,to prevent that I Will buy to many make-up again in the future.I am so glad when I started my no buy make-up,that I owned so many make-up,that was still new,and sealed in the packaging,because that give me much more time to use up products before they Will expire.I have still many new foundations,in multiple colours,for every season,but I only have one foundation open in every colour that I need for the seasons,and I Will only open a new one when theïne I use is used up,I do that with most products,only all my lipproducts are open,and all my eyeshadowpallets,but to prevent bacteria,I use daily clean brushes and sponges,and when I shop my stash,and change products,I always spray every product I use with alcohol,clean the packaging,and close everything when the alcohol has dried up,I also do that with my lipproducts,I even use a clean brush to get product from a doe foot,so that that products get less bacteria,I do that with my lipproducts with doe foot but also with my concealer,and I notice that my products stay good for a long time.Mascara I use that maximum for three months,and than I throw it away,and take a new one,because I be extra carefull with bacteria by my eyes,but also the brush from mascara I spray in with alcohol.I tried several times to do another declutter,but I love my products to much,untill I see or smell a difference in a product,than I don’t find it hard to declutter.That’s why I need to make a list with howmany products I am allowed to have in each make-up catagory,and I am sure that I can hold myself to my list,and don’t overbuy again,because I learned now the hard way,with a huge declutter at the beginning,and a no buy make-up,that Will last me for years.That’s why I love your decluttering video’s so much,you can do that so easy.I hope that I get a time in the future that I am able to declutter way easier than I can do now,xoxo wendy❤️

When I decluttered my lipsticks, it was shocking how many of them were old or expired. I probably wear 5 lipsticks TOPS and I often opt for gloss.
And the Fenty Gloss Bomb... I knew it would make the cut. I've never repurchased a lip product more.

I love this. I recently went through my whole makeup collection and was finally brave enough to throw out makeup that was years old or just stuff that I don’t use. I filled up a whole bedroom trash can! After watching this video, I really could stand to part with a lotttt more. I love that when you declutter you actually declutter. You don’t make excuses to hang onto something but you actually get rid of it and just keep your favorites. It’s very inspiring. I’d love to see what you do with tour collection once your all done! I’m so glad I found your videos! I can’t stop watching them!

This is SO incredibly helpful. Lately I've simply been overwhelmed by the amount of products I have...it actually takes me longer to get ready in the mornings b/c I'm trying to decide what to use! I've purged quite a lot of products after watching some of your earlier videos but lip products are my weakness!! I've easily got close to 200 (including all iterations). This gives me hope that I can whittle my collection down to a chosen few that I simply love. Thank you so much!!!
Out of the L'oreal Color Rich Shine lipsticks, I think you would love Burnished Blush and Varnished Rosewood. They're gorgeous! They do tend to melt, so I just make sure to not keep them in my purse. I just leave em in my bathroom.
So sorry to hear people are upset about your decluttering. To each their own. I understand why you are doing this and I commend you. I try not to judge anyone for what they do (as long as they aren’t hurting anyone.). But personally, I am trying to keep my makeup to what I can reasonably use. It isn’t easy for me (and I’m not a TH-camr who gets PR), so I can only image it is much more difficult for you. But I give you a lot of credit for sticking to your principles.
Why the hell do people care. Most of the products shes passing on so someone else can use it. She also said it doesnt mean she doesny like them but has too many so why keep them
@@roselily9036 they get sucked too much into this "my friend" effect. She says she liked something, they buy it and then get hurt, "because they feel so close to her", when she decides it isn't making the cut to the best of the best for her. A bit like they feel that their trust was broken? It's hard to explain, but there are articles and videos on this effect.
It's the reason why TH-camr advertising is so successful too.

I love your edited collection! the best of the best...for you. One lippie I could not live without is L'Oréal Colorriche Shine 904 Varnished Rosewood. I wear it almost daily, Alone or as a topper. Balmy, luscious your lips but better. You and I have similar coloring... I think you would love it. Also good is Burnished Blush.

I’m so glad you did this right now. I watched someone else’s video on a lip product that was being discontinued and how she was stocking up on it and it made me want to go out and do the same thing! Even though I’ve never tried the product she was talking about! So thank you; this reminded me that I just did a huge declutter and have been focusing on buying less!

Some of those really pretty liquid lips and glosses look so great, I'd love to add more Dose of Colors in my collection. I don't have much of everything else you shared, except some Almay Lip Vibes and Milani plumpers. i'm proud of you for saying goodbye to so many and for being realistic and honest in your own thoughts and preferences. Hi Jessica , just rewatching decluttering, I really enjoy your videos ,in fact you just helped me to declutter mine and I passed on all my drug store products and now I can see and use my high end products , it’s a joy to just select what I want to wear on that particular day , and I have regained my love for all my products and actually use before they go off , so thank you , yes lockdown is driving me nuts but hey I am well so that’s good by me , my love liz from U.K. ps, I hate liquid lipstick so it’s bullet all the way ! Let me start by saying I applaud you for your decluttering videos. I’ve tried to declutter my lipsticks but I’ve gotten to the point it makes me anxious to get rid of anymore until they expire. I even tried the “does this give me joy” question and the answer was always YES! So I still have around 50. Ha.
Jessica,I would love to see a vanity tour,after your done with all your amazingly declutters,and you gave all your make-up a good place,because you realy need a reorganisation,after these huuuuge declutters.I am realy proud at you and what you are doing with your declutters.I think how smaller your collection is,how more you gonna love the products you still have.I am now on a no buy make-up for 19 months,and I started with a huge declutter,mostly products that were to old or expired.I still own a huge amount of make-up,and I am realy wanted to use up as many products as possible.I find it very hard to declutter my make-up,because I love every single piece I own,and even if a product don’t work for me,I always find a way to make that product work.I have still many new make-up,and I get those new make-up closed as long as possible,because than it Will stay much longer good.The only things I know that I van’t use up all before they get expired are my lipproducts,but I try to switch as often as possible,to make sure that I use them all,and I still own many eyeshadowpallets,and I continue using those untill the consistentie Will change or the smell.I now that my no buy make-up Will last me for several years but I realy don’t mind that,I Will go on with it untill I own a normal amount of make-up.I Will make myself a list for the future how many products I allow myself to own in each make-up catagory,to prevent that I Will buy to many make-up again in the future.I am so glad when I started my no buy make-up,that I owned so many make-up,that was still new,and sealed in the packaging,because that give me much more time to use up products before they Will expire.I have still many new foundations,in multiple colours,for every season,but I only have one foundation open in every colour that I need for the seasons,and I Will only open a new one when theïne I use is used up,I do that with most products,only all my lipproducts are open,and all my eyeshadowpallets,but to prevent bacteria,I use daily clean brushes and sponges,and when I shop my stash,and change products,I always spray every product I use with alcohol,clean the packaging,and close everything when the alcohol has dried up,I also do that with my lipproducts,I even use a clean brush to get product from a doe foot,so that that products get less bacteria,I do that with my lipproducts with doe foot but also with my concealer,and I notice that my products stay good for a long time.Mascara I use that maximum for three months,and than I throw it away,and take a new one,because I be extra carefull with bacteria by my eyes,but also the brush from mascara I spray in with alcohol.I tried several times to do another declutter,but I love my products to much,untill I see or smell a difference in a product,than I don’t find it hard to declutter.That’s why I need to make a list with howmany products I am allowed to have in each make-up catagory,and I am sure that I can hold myself to my list,and don’t overbuy again,because I learned now the hard way,with a huge declutter at the beginning,and a no buy make-up,that Will last me for years.That’s why I love your decluttering video’s so much,you can do that so easy.I hope that I get a time in the future that I am able to declutter way easier than I can do now,xoxo wendy❤️

I've been loving watching these declutters and I love your intent behind them as well! It has inspired me to be more mindful of how much I have and declutter some products and try to use up what I have.
