Such a positive engaging man! From I was a child following the mighty Mastermind, knowing you and Max lived in the area was inspiration itself. Fast fwd a few years and inviting us up to the show to perform, one of our career highlights! And knowing you personally has been the most rewarding, always a shining star in our eyes!
Thanks Dave. You influenced London's dance scene back in the day, NO-ONE or NOTHING will ever change that fact. Dave invited us for a contribution in his book - "Masters Of The Airwaves". Thank You.
This is such a great interview with great details Dave vj really needs 10 hours to tell every story cause I am sure there still stuff missing but this is a top interview.
Dave So proud of u seeing u become so successful known u decades now. I remember when u was dating my big sister over 42yrs ago gotta be & u took us me included to the Rock steady crew & Lisa Lisa cult jam performance i can't remember were it was but never forget ur kindness. I think it was the first gig u got in new York u brought me back a big apple keyring & a snoopy I don't forget I still have the snoopy to. Also it was u & my awesome Jon jules big bwuv who started me at a very young age being hip hop & reggae crazy. Then it was hip house deep house. Im 53 today still love old hip skool hip hop & today I'm listening to my old fave DJ fast Eddie. Ur an awesome talented man proud of the success u have achieved & the inspiration u have shown a couple generations.
Awesome interview - hard rock did so much for hip hop over here. Thank you…. We need a part two now covering their musical output - double def fresh and thx beat is mine are two of my favourite s from that era!
I’m glad you didn’t interrupt as he had stories for days which were such an insight! Just means there’s scope to do another one when he’s back in the U.K.!
Yeah I know and it was on the cards to but soon as Dave started talking I knew I had to just let him talk and that meant missing out some of the stuff I had planned to discuss but you know what that means, a part 2 might be on the cards when he's back from Antigua and hopefully we can also discuss their production too, and go in more detail too. Fingers crossed we get to do a part 2
