I was inspired to have the Baratsa Sette 30 AP, besides the price is cheaper than other Sette series, but still has the same burr quality as the Sette series.
I use the Sette 30 with my Rocket Appartamento and it works great. Like you mentioned, I sometimes have to adjust the dose a tiny bit to accommodate for the lack of micro adjustment, but all in all, I've been producing some delicious espresso with this grinder. Great video!
Thank you for the video. This was very helpful. I am fairly new to espresso and was wondering if micro dosing affects the quality of the espresso? since you cannot make micro adjustments on the grinder.
do u think that the reason why Sette 30 can work with bianca is because it can control the pressure so even the grinder sucks you can make it up with bianca
Great video, I just got my sette 30 last night. And after working on getting the right dosing. I started to wonder if should have gotten the 270. After watching this video I think I'll be fine with the the 30. Also, can the bellows be ordered, I would love that.
I hope you have upgraded at least to the Sette 270 by now to pair with the wonderful Lelit Bianca! The Sette 30 grind setting is simply too limited to dial in properly for great a espresso.
Not really. The grind quality of sette 30 and 270 is exactly the same. Only small diff is fine adjustment which can easily be rectify with a small increase or decrease of dosage..just 0.3g up or down.
I have the sette and after a year it broke it was the gears wich are plastic!!!! Ive got a new gearbox and its fine again,,, when it goes again Im getting a eureka crono for shure,, its even cheaper than the sette.
Yes, the gear box was a known weak point of the grinder, which anyone getting it should be aware of. But I doubt any grinder cheaper than Sette 30 can make espresso better.
Nice. Do you think for home use, we should have a flat burr grinder in addition to a conical burr grinder so it will allow us to better enjoy rounded taste profiles in comparison at home. Which flat burr grinder do you recommend?
Well, most people at home will only have one grinder. Both flat and conical can be good. If money is no issue, for a moderate price, I will get Fiorenzato AllGround for a flat burr and a Niche Zero for conical. Sette is a very good conical for its price.
Both is good. Sette 30, grind quality consistently good over 30-50 units I've sold. Basically whatever quality it is, it is consistent. DF64 mostly as good as Sette. But over 20-30 units, some have alignment or shaft problems that is a pain to solved.
@@KFChan in New Zealand, the Bianca is around $4500, and when you add the optional flow control to ECM it will be around $5600. I love those levers on ECM. I prefer the look of ECM. Looking at the inside I felt that the ECM is probably of better build quality. But it is 25% more in cost.
@@askay2k Beauty is in the eye of the beholder :D. But internally, Bianca is excellently designed and quiet. Refilling water to the tank does not require removal of cups, and tank position can be changed. And literally give you FREE $1000 to spend. I would say, unbeatable.
@@KFChan so basically I’d kinda weight the same 18 grams. Considering the average 0.3 - 0.5 grams retention and should do. Awesome man I’ll go with the 30 it produces absolutely magnificent quality for the price

No. Sette 30 works well with Gaggia classic pro and Lelit MaraX too.

Nothing much to think. If 12 is clogging, use 13.

Yes, but I wouldn't recommend to high. Mine is set to 128C around 1.75bar.

Hi there. Will this work well with the Gaggia Classic Pro or should I go for the more expensive Sette 270 to have the micro adjustments?
The micro adjustment is not really crucial. We can adjust the differences with the dosage. Just 0.3 - 0.5g more or less will do.
The advantage of the micro adjustment is too small compare to the extra price one need to pay for the 270.

@@ahmmoudy I meant if you put in 18g, can it is extracting too fast, adding 0.5g more is similar to the micro adjustment going finer.
