Thanks for the review. I've been thanking about this radio since it came out. I have the XHDATA D-328 that I liked so much that I bought two more for my grandsons.

I like this simple SW radio.

Absolutely agree. FOR THE PRICE the D219 is 10 times better than the bottom of the barrel single conversion SW multibands of yeasteryear (read Bell and Howell pocket 9 band from the 90s). I cant even buy a 12 pack of beer for 10 bucks today. This is the radio you are not afraid to loose, break or accidentally drop in the lake but unlike the B&H it is actually pulls in a lot of signals with minimal bleedover. Its also cheap enough to give to your kids (who probably don't know what a radio is) to play with. If it sparks and interest in radios you can step them up to a Tecsun pl 310 or 680 later.

I’ve got the 9 kHz version as I’m in the UK and I’m really pleased with how good a radio it is for under £10. As a starter radio, or one to pop in your pocket it’s hard to beat.
    Happy Christmas and 73’s.

The medium wave frequency coverage is 522-1620 or 520-1710. Any 9 or 10 khz talk is just for sale purposes, as it is an anologue radio. Chinese companies use fancy terms. I prefer straight talk, and can cut through Chinese jive. Last, radio has some extra frequency coverage for things like amateur radio or maritime, some brush up on you CW (Morse code). Overall looks like a fun radio.

Agreed. Fell asleep with CRI on the headphones awhile back. Costs less than a fast food cheeseburger. Not by any means the best SW reciever I own but I wish i could just hand these out to everyone I know.

Hello, JIMS RADIO CHECK, as I am inclined to agree with you that for the extremely LOW PRICE the XHDATA D-219 rocks! I have the 9 kilohertz version but I am planning on eventually purchasing the 10 kilohertz version indeed! Merry Christmas to you, Jim. Thanks...

The 10 kHz version is for the Americas. The rest of the world has a 9 kHz separation for medium wave. It is a nice radio, but I still like digital radios more. However, for the price, it is nice..

The tuning needle is not even straight up and down. That would drive me nuts and I'd end up taking it apart to attempt a fix. That's just me.

No it does not I just use a clip on to the antenna

The medium wave band is 522-1620 for Europe and Asia or 530-1710 for America's. That is only for frequency used not tuning steps, an idiosyncrasies of manufacturers.
