good to see a person not giving up and loosing his cool it takes a lot of trial and error when you don't have something to show you what you are doing wrong
Hey M, i would of given up long time and slapped on sides, but well done on the perfectly executed diagnostics. Admittingly there is nothing more satisfying than solving a problem and learning along the way. Top man.👍
Slide speed is another massive tuning factor on CVs too, even when just removing airboxes on bikes. The pump should stop when pressure is built. Another thing to think about is fuel foaming in the float bowls. Thry are normally supported with the airbox on a bike but they're flapping around on the inlet rubbers on your install. Why no O2 sensor? Would make your life much easier! It's hard to tell with fuelling sometimes.
Mate, your perseverance is admirable! So good t9 see you smiling after the fueling troubles. Can’t wait for the Dino session to see what Maude can do. 👍
As a quick set up on bikes we used to take the carb size eg.38mm then times it by 5 and use that as a quick set up for jet size. 38 x 5 = 190 example. And it will always be a little on the rich side to keep it safe. Used to work a treat . Good luck
Well done for sticking at that mate, the sense of satisfaction is amazing when you finally sort the fault rather than handed it over to someone else to fix it for you. Top marks matey 👌👍

We can tell you are 100% committed in sorting this engine and tune sorted out. Seen Pinky is also coming on well with the mk1. Great work upto now. Hope I got his name right 😆
FairPlay mate never give up there is always away just got to find it can’t wait to see what happens on the rollers see the difference between the two set ups 👍
I think that MOST of the negativity out there about bike carbs is because people arn't willing to be patient and learn. Hopefully 'Maude' will get a good result on the dyno. 👍
Now that your a tuner, Marcus 😄, it might be worth investing in an afr gauge. Good safety investment. If you get a spare few O2 sensors and bungs, you can fit those to your other cars and just swap the gauge between them while tuning, as the gauge itself is the biggest expense. Good work bro. Love the never give up attitude
Hi Marcus when you where taking out the car needles you said the had a diaphragm on the back I noticed that around 9 minutes mark when you where looking at the needle I thought I seen some light through where the diaphragm fits if that isn’t sealed properly it would be drawing in to much air I apologise in advance if I am mistaken
I can defo see what you mean in the footage mate! 👍 Im HOPING its just an illusion with the light but I'll defo double check all the diaphragms before I go on the dyno. Thanks for pointing it out. 👍
Putting carbs on a bigger engine than they are jetted for usually results in lower pressure in the venturi and therefore high fuel delivery rates, it is quite normal to have to jet a bike down after fitting a big bore kit. I have no doubt these carbs will make good power with flawless delivery once dialed in. When you have learnt which to adjust them LoL! Also they dont like running without an air box because the air correction jets controlling the air flow into the diffuser tube will be seeing atmospheric pressure all the time instead of the reduced pressure that occurs in an air box when power is demanded.
Good work Marcus. I had the same issue with bike carbs on my xflow but I didn’t have the persistence you have and swapped to Dellortos and now on Jenveys.
marcus this is one of your best videos mate proper interesting and glad you have got a bit of a result you ever thought the car is suffering from fuel starvation ie need a big flow of petrol?
