- It's no secret that I love graph theory. In this video, I review my favorite graph theory book of all time: Introduction to Graph Theory by Richard J. Trudeau. Indeed, this book might even be my favorite mathematics book of all time.
The real beauty of this book is how approachable it is. The book aspires to not only teach graph theory but also show readers what pure mathematics is all about. But as Trudeau writes in the preface, the primary audience for this book is the "mathematically traumatized."

I think most trauma is caused by bad teachers who appear more interested in getting you to fail than learning the subject.

Thank you for this video. Very encouraging to those who've given up ever enjoying math. I've recently taken up graph theory and I'm amazed how many areas of mathematics are embodied and even simplified thru graphs.
Just one suggestion:
If I were you, I would remove the background music. For me, at least, it cluttered the video.

Thanks! I really believe math is for everyone. I k is there are lots of other channels working to make math accessible, but I think there’s a lot of work left to be done.

Then it would be interesting to have a playlist of a Survey over course-required texts across the major Ivys / Polytechnics; book:101-class /per video, with comparison and wrap up at series end.

I haven't read this one yet. I was introduced to it by Diestel's. I'll check it out!
It’s totally worth a read, even for someone with an extensive background in math, although it isn’t as in-depth or as rigorous as Diestel.
I read it after having taken graph theory and after reading West and Diestel, but I learned more about communicating math from this book than any of the other books.
Loved this video, thank you, unforutnately the background music makes it hard for me to listen. Not sure why, just distracts my focus, maybe it's a bit too loud?

There are a number of different ways to plot a graph, and more than one that exposes planarity. I’ve got a video in the works on a full pyvis tutorial all about plotting graphs!
noice, i've been obsessed trying to explain people how graphs are the epitome of real applications of maths, i'm an engineer so i couldn't are less about axioms and arbitrary mathematician tricks, your channel is a breath of fresh air, i only found idiots such as the sourcerer and other narcissists... thanks
