The Tragic Life Of May De Sousa | Forgotten Star Of The 1900s

A while ago I came across a collection of hauntingly beautiful photos of an actress, May de Sousa. Her Wikipedia page revealed some fascinating details of her life, enough to pique my interest, but I was desperate to know more about this forgotten celebrity, and at first there wasn't much to go on.
Over the course of a few weeks I read hundreds of articles in digital newspaper archives, and found old records, documenting her life from the late 1890s up until her retirement from the stage in the beginning of the 1920s.
I really enjoyed the research process for this video, and it is possibly my favourite I have made yet!
