He also didn't want to be a king with absolute power. He wasn't the only one forced and thrust into the presidential chair. The reason for term limits originates from being forced to be president. You are allowed to vote for whoever you want, even if they are not running for president. With enough votes anyone can be president of the united states. That is what "Write-ins" are for.

Not a believer, but I’ve drawn the parallel between modern evangelicalism and that passage for years. If Trump and everything he represents doesn’t count as strong delusion, I don’t know what does.
