Harry was doing the Guerilla Bars series first, where he walked around and did these freestyles in person, and when C19 hit and drove everyone inside, Harry started releasing these Omegle Bars every Friday. This episode is the only one of the entire 100 episode series that doesn't have an outro promoting the channel, out of respect and reverence. Harry later said in an interview discussing the Omegle Bars series that it was specifically the last interaction that made him understand what his purpose was, changinh his whole outlook on the series. Before this, these videos were more of a way for him to continue practicing and honing his craft during quarantine. The interaction with DieselOptics made Harry realize that his abilities have the potential to really affect others and make a difference for others dealing with the lockdowns as well. In short, its when Harry really understood that what he does matters. P.S. DieselOptics later dropped a reaction to this episode during one of his streams, and he talked about how much his interaction with Harry and the waves of support that followed not only broight him out of his rut and helped turn thibgs around for himself, but also may have saved his life. Harry's a real one. 🙂
Mack has said himself many times, and I believe him, that he only is thinking maybe 0.5-1.5 bars ahead, no more. It's sort of like improvising on any other instrument despite the additional complexity added by having to rhyme and make sense. When you improvise well it's because you've drilled the fundamentals so hard that you no longer have to consciously think about it and plan, you will just instinctually gravitate towards stuff that sounds good. To use another analogy, high level chess players don't think more moves ahead than the average player it's just that they are able to holistically intuit entire patterns and arrangements at a glance (rather than bottom-up looking at each piece individually) and will tend to gravitate automatically much more often toward advantageous positions than the average player. I think this is quite similar.
There's just nothing to add, what a beautiful moment of humanity that we got to witness. I've seen all 100 Omegle Bars, each one is special in it's own way, but this one just hits hard.

The best interview Mack had to explain how he does it is with with Rick Glassman on his podcast TYSO. Harry has explained it on many podcasts, but Rick really dug deep during Harry first visit to his podcast and it's really insightful on how it goes in his brain.

Great reaction, been following mack for 6 years, and i can guarantee you he is not thinking about what rhymes with october before he starts. He has mastered rhyming. i bet he is thinking more of what ways he wants to take the rhythms and hes prolly not even doing that.
On Omegle you could put certain keywords in to match with people. So the guy who was chanting for Harry may have had music or art as a keyword in hopes to narrow the field.

Not like an formula 1 or any racecar driver who has the route he is going to race exactly played out in his head. Bare in mind he instantaneously reacts to everything happening on the other side of the screen. If he were a few bars in front of what he was actually spitting, he couldn't react so swiftly to what was giving him inspiration in the most mind boggling wys. This is even more impressive, in my opinion, because every little stumble could throw him out of his lane. And even though he barely stumbles over his words he occasionally does and he catches himself so quickly! Secondly, his mind doesn't naturally work faster than ours. He just trained with purpose over 10.000 hours. I think I have to clarify what I mean by "purpose". By "purpose" I do mean that he doesn't just willy nilly tries to freestyle and calls it a freestyle rap training session but he has different aspects of his craft he focuses on one at a time. Like only doing AB rhyme schemes or only ABBA. Every deviation from that plan will get repeated until there is no more error. If you ever see this comment I hope this little incursion was insightful to understand more deeply how his thought and workprocess works. Lastly, I love the reactions to Harry Mack and I love those reactions of Ren that you do❤️ Keep up the🔥 work! 💯
As far as recipes I'm the same and a chef, I don't even usually taste just got off smell if it's right lol, anyone I'm if cooked for best ever had of whatever dish lol, grew up watching iron chef etc

Once you're hooked you're hooked. Harry Mack's content is addictive, it's hard to get enough.
