Unfortunately, we have not compared the RX-7V Racing directly with the Shoei X-Spirit 3. The FIM standard differs from most others in that it also includes higher test speeds and rotational impact testing. The main reason for the Arai look is their R75 shell shape, which, as you pointed out, is mainly used due to its higher degree of safety and glancing off ability. That being said, it's also fair to look at other sportier helmets that can offer the same level of racing safety (such as the AGV Pista GP RR or the Shark Race-R Pro GP FIM) with a more aggressive look. The diffusor will fit. Just installed it on my RX-7V. Really improves the aerodynamics at higher speeds.

Arai may be a premium brand and safe, but they’re just so ugly. They stay looking retro like Porsche cars
