    Great way of testing! How does the rx7v compare to the racing version out on the road?

      On standard roads, there is almost no difference in performance between the two helmets other than the weight. Nonetheless, you will find a more discernible difference when out on the track with the spoiler extension attached.

      The aerodynamics on the racing are better. Less drag.

    Cool video thank you I was considering to buy this one or the xspirit 3 do you have a comparing video?
    Does the diffuser extension also fit on a normal RX-7V ?

      Unfortunately, we have not compared the RX-7V Racing directly with the Shoei X-Spirit 3. While performance-wise, they do offer a lot, the Shoei does come out slightly ahead though only the RX-7V Racing comes with FIM level safety.
      You can also check out our comparison of the RX-7V with the X-Spirit here: th-cam.com/video/xgvPJZ6SGZg/w-d-xo.html
      And yes, the diffuser extension should fit the normal RX-7V, though it would need to be purchased separately.
      Thanks for the comment!

      The diffusor will fit. Just installed it on my RX-7V. Really improves the aerodynamics at higher speeds.

      Fortunately, we have already tested out the top full face helmets (including the standard Arai RX-7V and Shoei X-Spirit 3) out on the road. You can check out our data driven road test here: th-cam.com/video/KpJWELrN72s/w-d-xo.html

      Both are awesome. Choose the one you like better.

    Thank you for the review. What does FIM actually mean for safety?

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      As far as safety, FIM is one of the toughest standards currently in use since it is designed for racing helmet certification. The FIM standard differs from most others in that it also includes higher test speeds and rotational impact testing. Arai may be a premium brand and safe, but they’re just so ugly. They stay looking retro like Porsche cars

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The main reason for the Arai look is their R75 shell shape, which, as you pointed out, is mainly used due to its higher degree of safety and glancing off ability. That being said, it's also fair to look at other sportier helmets that can offer the same level of racing safety (such as the AGV Pista GP RR or the Shark Race-R Pro GP FIM) with a more aggressive look.
      Thanks for the comment!
      Besides the appearance, what are your thoughts on the new RX-7V variant?

    • @EVsSuck777
      @EVsSuck777 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Championhelmets Well it’s obvious I would trust to use it for street or track, if only I could get over the LEGO helmet appearance

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EVsSuck777 The Arai appearance does seem to be the main gripe about the helmet, though that is also perfectly fine. Thanks for the reply!
