Despite all the hurtful things Toshiro said to Laios, I’m sure he actually does care about him to a certain extent. If not he wouldn’t have given Laios that bell and offered him and the rest of the gang a way to the East in case they would be put under arrest for using black magic.
I think Shuro genuinely cares about him and the others, it's just that he was severely hungry, sleep deprived, and most likely very stressed out/worried about everything that he only truly stopped himself and took a 'rest' was releasing all of that pent up frustration as he can't understand why Laios can be so seemingly care free and hopeful.
@@conejitorosada2326| This exactly! A lot of fans toss unfair hate at Shuro, without properly considering the situation he was in. He'd just watched the woman he loved murder the woman who raised him.
I think Toshiro is also autistic, but had to mask and work very hard at social cues. Which is why Laios not getting it hurts him so much. I say this because it's something I see in my own life.
When you asked about whether or not Falin was mixed with more than just the dragon and why it has feathers, the writer answered the question not that long ago and mentioned that dragons in this world stem from dinosaurs, who sometimes had feathers. So the dark magic that combined Falin and the dragon didn't just mess with Falin's memories, it also tapped into the dragon's ancient DNA and popped up some feathers.
I love all of your reactions in general, but seeing you react to this episode was so entertaining and hilarious. The whiplash I got from this episode when I watched it was similar 😂 can’t wait to see your reactions to the future episodes! 👀 much love!! ❤️🫶
I feel bad for Rin huhu she didn't know that the spell was coming from below and wasn't quick enough to hide behind Marcille's shield the only death that could've been prevented
My favorite tidbit someone else pointed out to me- Falin-dragon only attacks those who attack her first. (Until the very end where she erupts and flees, but that's understandable tbh) Even under mage influence, even mostly-dragon at this point, something of Falin is still in there.
"im sad to see them fighting" Boys sometimes just need to duke it out to fix things. No, girls won't ever understand this. After moving to a new school i got into a fight with someone and he broke my arm. I guess he didn't like the newcomer interrupting the circle. We are best friends since 21 years.
I feel like Falin would've ultimately refused the proposal, because I mean realistically speaking their relationship seems one sided and not very deep considering how reserved Shuro seems to be, but then again it is Falin, who knows what might've happened.
Considering Falin said she’d think about it, maybe she wanted to get to know Toshiro more. That or she just wasn’t sure what to do since she likely would’ve never thought he liked her that way.
since this probably isnt spoilers, falin was considering taking him up on it bc she knew he was a good guy but also bc she wasnt sure she'd ever get another offer :(
@@sonyasyt wow that's pretty sad, idk if she'd accept if she knew she'd have to move to Shuro's homeland though because I doubt she would want to be too far away from her brother and Marcille
laios and shuro are a bad matchup in social situation. shuro was raised in a japanese-like culture, where people are expected to be able to read the room. while laios needs to be told directly for him to understand the intention. i disliked shuro at first, but later on i understand him more, after all i was raised in similar culture and oh boy it IS hard to express my feelings
Es raro ver representado dos culturas tan distantes, una con estricta normas sociales muy marcadas y la otra mas informal y sincera de la que puedas conseguir por ello me agrada tu comentario ya que quería ver que opinaban los japoneses de Laios y de la gente como el en general

also the dub is just so much better for english speakers lmao, missing out on so many little localisations here and there that really get the spirit of things across so much better than just the direct translations
@@kildeer ehh idk. I feel like the Japanese VA does the whole cutesy vibes of Marcille better. So when she starts screaming and panicking the difference is way more apparent.
This was the episode that made me realize subbed is good with this but dubbed is way better. I know that’s blasphemy but Marcelles reaction to Falins flash is way better in English lol. “Hey, hey! 😂”. The Lios convo with his old friend also.
i think its intersting that the dark skinned dude sucks at killing monsters but is very efficient at killing humans. btw, no idea if that is foreshadowing or not, ive only seen the anime.
He’s a character foil for Laios, likely also having ASD. Also, he’s meant to be fantasy Indian/Nepali. North Indians are typically warriors so that might be an intentional aspect of his character.
Wdym bail?? I'm pretty sure he left to get his strong ninja team because he didn't think Laios would be strong enough to save her? I forgot what happened.
He didn’t bail. He went into the dungeon on his own with ppl he thought would go with him. He outright said he didn’t know Laois went back in on his own. Yeah, it does say a LOT about him that he didn’t even consider to check with Laios but it’s more likely that he didn’t think much of it and just assumed Laios wouldn’t be prepared whereas he was. Just a bit of looking down on the guy, not the idea of him bailing on Laios intentionally.
Bruh he literally went to get backup to try and get back to falin. Granted he went abruptly, but he definitely didn't bail. Prolly panicked thinking about falin all the time
Toshiro's whole deal feels like author critiquing Japanese culture. He was dropping subtle hints, fully expecting those around him to pick on them, and he decided to propose to his coworker out of the blue, without trying to date her or anything
true like Mickbell said it's wild he just randomly proposed to Falin even though they seemingly had at best a relationship akin to co-workers, she's not as socially unaware as Laois but she's also not that far off so if Laios didn't pick up on any of the subtle hints Shuro was supposedly dropping then Falin probably didn't either pick up on most of them either.
@@noll7779 considering Falin is highly likely ASD too, she likely didn’t even notice. She said she would “think about it” and everyone in the group saw that Toshiro loved Falin but didn’t say that Falin reciprocated.
It’s also been said that Toshiro could’ve exhibited ASD traits too. He had a special interest in bugs (might be why he fell for her when she showed interest in that one bug in the flashback). But due to his culture was made to be more reserved. I think it’s why Laios and Falin are white. They’re more overt with their personalities, whereas someone like Kabru who’s implied to also be ASD and masking would be hiding it cus he’s Indian/Nepali coded.

The best part was that Senshi stood there holding the plate of food through the entire ordeal.
We don’t waste food in this house.
Shuro vs Laois is like unstoppable force vs. immovable object.
Peak of autism vs. Peak of japanese "just dropping hints" politeness

That’s so cool. Connecting dinosaurs and dragons is awesome. Makes sense why feathers appear
Kabru is as fascinated with Laios as Laios is with Falin's new monster form. He's like Laios but with humans
Laios sees Falin - "it's so cool" 😂😂😂
“I wish could’ve switched places with you “
This must be his true feelings from the bottom of his heart.😂
