Just something different from Home Free, check out them doing “Bring Him Home” from Les Miserables. They used to do this one during their concerts to give Adam a break after his beat box solo. Austin sings the lead. Austin has a serious background in classical and musical theater and work hard to lose his southern Georgia accent. He didn’t have to worry about that after joining Home Free! You will be, pleasantly, surprised! Here is a link to a live performance. th-cam.com/video/FAarrEj4or8/w-d-xo.html

The outfit Austin wears in this video he also wears for a moment in the video they released 2 weeks ago called Down to the Honkytonk. You should definitely check out Flowers on the Wall! I agree that Adam is such an amazing beatboxer. He did both a steam train & a violin version of Mary Had a Little Lamb due to a mixup at a concert in Europe earlier this year & it was fantastic. Also, Austin's former girlfriend (they were dating when this video was made) Olena is their makeup/hair person. I'm not sure who does the costuming stuff. Also given how often they are currently putting out music videos & that there are music videos since back in 2013 (so far 102) (not including singoff & home away from home videos) I really don't think you'll run out any time soon at 1-2 reactions a week!

I can so relate about the country thing. I could hardly stand to listen to country music prior to Home Free. HF has given me an appreciation of country now. This video is So fun! Thanks for reacting!

I guess I'm not the only one who suddenly found a love for country music. (Or is that mainly a love for Home Free that includes country music?)

Heads up: Both Home Free and VoicePlay released new songs earlier today. VoicePlay did “Just Sing” as a large collaboration, and Home Free released“Flowers on the Wall”. Both are really good. (If you watch VoicePlay’s, make sure your captions are on, they give a description of who’s who in the captions and include years for all former and current members)

And they gave us a double again 2 weeks ago on Friday the 13th, 2023. Home Free gave us a video for their original song, the title track from So Long Dixie, written by Tim, Austin, Chris Chatham (who plays guitar in the video), and Adam Wakefield from Texas Hill. It's filmed in Colorado with gorgeous scenery behind them. The same day VoicePlay dropped their video for Metallica's Nothing Else Matters. That one has been breaking reactors left and right. It is AMAZING!!!! Violayne strikes again!

Austin had his outfit from that video on for the quarantine video, too. I love this. It's hysterical, especially Austin licking the ball. Thanks!

Did you see Austin had his cowboy boots on and also was rolling an 8-pound ball? You can't do much with an 8-pound ball, but at least he didn't use bumpers. Lol! I'm the same way, never cared for much country music, but love Home Free, maybe it's because it's acapella and there's a beatboxer instead of a banjo?

You should watch one of Adam Rupp's drum solo videos.

    • @LeandraSilvio
      @LeandraSilvio 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes! You can always pick an older version of the drum solo and still be pleasantly surprised when you see it live, because he does so many new things now. But, this way you can still take a peek at what he does.

On their original video, there is a link in the credits that takes you to a page showing each Big Lebowski reference. Watch the very end of their video where they talk, you'll find an obscure reference that a lot of people miss. Can you find it??

The volume of the song was very low. It was hard to hear without turning the volume too loud for the commentary.

I didn't know this song before HF... don't know the references to the movie. I can say this --- It's pretty damn good, for the song or at least what HF done with it. As for the movie --- still haven't watched it. Don't know that I ever will. Oh, and as for running out of HF content ....... no worries for now! At this rate --- over 2yrs of content....... that THEY have put out; not including what others have!

Loved watching your continuous smile throughout the video. Please check your sound levels. I had to turn up the video to max volume to hear it, and it made your voice overpowering. I think Kevin O. has more sound effects because it suites their music. Whereas Adam sounds like he swallowed an entire drum set and has since perfected his instrument.

You should watch the after talk for this video. There’s another little “easter egg” from the movie while they’re sitting there talking about the video. Did you see all of the references to the movie and know who was who? Oh, the audio for the video was a little too low. Just wanted to let you know for future videos. I loved how you reacted to the video. The first time I saw the video I had never seen the movie. A little while longer I finally saw the movie and went back and saw the video and enjoyed it so much more. Then I had my question answered about the after chat.

In fact, it's a good idea to watch every Home Free, Austin Brown, and Tim Foust video to the very end, after the music is over. Especially Austin's rendition of Ain't No Sunshine. (The includes VoicePlay too.)

I'm not sure many country music buffs would call Florida Georgia Line's song a classic, or even real country. It's often referred to disparagingly as just bro-country, which is borne out by their own video, which has a lot of motor bikes and girls in few clothes. Whoever hit on the idea of the Lebowski theme was a genius, and typical of HF's way of picking up songs and turning them into gold. The outro on this one is worth seeing for more Lebowski borrowings.

You might now run out. I have over 100 Home Free songs on my player and there are ones like "How We Roll" that I have never heard of, as well as quite a few songs that are available multiple times with slight changes each time. Then if you add in solo work, live performances, and especially Storytime with Tim skits there are too many to "run out" of.
BTW: If you want to hear PURE acapella, listen to How Great Thou Art in Kearney MO. Their concert got cancelled due to a thunderstorm, but they gave the fans one last song. No mics, no amps, in a pavilion (lousy acoustics), recorded on a cell phone, and with a storm as the only accompaniment. It sounds just as good as their studio version.

●Tim scoured closets, thrift stores for outfits/accessiriws, they bowled badly on PURPOSE, you missed the ending> they were all talkibg, Adam was missing (but there was a "coffee can" there...remember...lol)!!..They spared no details, from many' rings, purple jumpsuit on the skinny guy & licking bowling ball, to pet carrier & dark under-eye circles & dad pants, to "the" exact sweater & jellies on his feet, yelling "let it roll", like in the movie, to the "Sam Elliott" character w/cowboy hat..
Adam's crazy talented (ALL are), he bboxes a full concert & 10 min. solo (old example *"Adam Rupp- 06/+3/18"* ), plays trumpet, guitar, bass, piano/keys, some drums, used to sit in w/band & get experience bbboxing in clubs sometimes vs a drummer, etc in early days, between gigs, is a huge Dungeons & Dragons fan, had friends come over & have huge set up (in "Quarantine", you see the many figurine boxes on the wall behind him..
▶You can REACT or watch their behind the scenes seties: *"Home Away From Home"* re: travels, rehearsals, towns, eating, on stage, practicing, w/family & friends, their relationships, self-narrated, etc, etc..They're awesome!!💜💜💜

Hiya just wondering when the next starkid reaction will be because I loved your reactions and inputs to all the musicals and I can’t wait for the next one that I believe is Black Friday, correct me if I’m wrong. If it is Black Friday I would highly recommend rewatching The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals as it’s based in the same place with some of the same characters and aspects of it would be confusing without it. Keep up the great work and stay safe 👍🏻🤙🏻

I've heard the original of this song and (apologies to Florida Georgia Line), I like Home Free's better - the singing & beatboxing, as always, are exemplary. I know at one point Austin had broken his wrist so I don't know if the black 'glove' is part of the costume or not. Love your channel and comments. You've said you prefer break-up to love songs and I don't know if you've seen Home Free's "Love Me Like That" or "If I Met You Now" (on Austin's channel).
