Thanks for this it was a great help. I just bought my dad a Marklin set and some extra track. There's nothing in the instructions about how to get power to the points/switch box.
It's a pretty poor setup overall for new users. The track power is red and brown wires (it's red and black on the controller) and the points use blue and yellow. Turns out the yellow goes to yellow on the controller and grey powers the switch box. Come on Marklin. There's nothing about that in the instruction leaflets.

You are welcome! Thta´s the reason, why i made the video. Help other people with new stuff.
But i thought it is written in the instructions. So i was wrong.
Good that it works right know. Enjoy the set

Hallo Rolf. A great video. Thank you, I will setup a test area for my switches based on this video. Take good care.

      Thank you Dwight!
      It’s an easy setup.
But you already know how to do the setup, right?
Did you use the wrong kind of switch?

Hallo Rolf. I have the white control panel 7272 and 7273. Not certain these are correct.

Thanks for your video, I wanted to ask you, why on the analog Z scale tracks when you activate the turnout the electrical circuit on the track downstream of the turnout is interrupted, it is as if the needles of the turnout do not I would no longer allow the passage on the downstream track, what I say and how to resolve it is correct, this doesn't happen on digital.
Thanks in advance for the reply.

      Ciao Lorenzo,
Do I understand you correctly that when you operate the switch, the current on the tracks is interrupted?
That shouldn't normally be the case, because Märklin switches are continuous. Do you have Märklin switches, or ones from Rokuhan? With those, the current flow is interrupted when the switch tongue points to the other track. Have you ever measured your switches with a measuring device? Are all of your switches affected by this, or just one?
      Cari Saluti

Rolf....My transformers are older, I have not grey clamp, just red, brown and yellow. So where do I connect the side of the switch box to?

    • @Mini-Club-Center-Siegen

Red and brown is for the track.
So yellow and brown is for switches, signals and lights.

On your layout I see you've removed those ugly black boxes next to the switches (and have them made with a servo) do you have any tips on cutting the black box away since it's actually connected to the switch (versus clickable system on H0)
