you were kinda scammed with the fez it prob ranges from 50-150 lira on the cheaper parts but i do reccomend people but fez both because you support the local population and because turks can tell if youre a tourist and can help you

Fuck sake, finally someone using appopriate music for their "Visiting Turkey" video. Much appreciated. Hope you enjoyed your time here. Also the price for the Fez was okay i believe. As it's not something bought by locals, getting away with 150 lira is fine which is a price for a single döner wrap.

Oh my, you as a Polish fellow forgot to visit the famous 'Polonezköy' while you're in Istanbul, i'm very disappointed now as a Turkish person. Btw Polonezköy (meaning "Polish Village") is a village located on the Asian side of Istanbul, Turkey, in the Beykoz district. It was founded in 1842 by Polish immigrants fleeing Russian occupation after the November Uprising (1830-1831). The village became a haven for Polish nationals who settled in the Ottoman Empire, supported by Prince Adam Czartoryski.
He already comes from Poland. He has come here to see somethin different

İlk günlerde İstanbul'un dindar bölgelerinde takılmışsın. Genelde yemek yediğin ve alışveriş yaptığın yerler turistik olduğundan ortalamadan pahalı yerlerdir. Yine de 4 günü gayet iyi değerlendirmişsin, gezilecek yerleri iyi seçmişsin. Bu arada fes taktığın için bazı insanlar garipsercesine bakmış olabilir çünkü Türkiye'de yüz yıldır kimse fes takmıyor, sadece turistler bizi öyle algılıyor diye turistik yerlerde satılıyor. Yine bekleriz.
I hope you don't mistake the Syrian refugees living in Istanbul for Turks 😅

Sorry to correct you on that one but when Haghia Sophia was a museum, it was never free. I think the price was around 15 Euros in 2019 when i visited with my friends from Poland as well. Also i wish you bought the museum ticket that gives access to almost most of the museums in Turkey instead of paying for the palaces&churches indiviually. That would be much more cheaper for you.

I know this is getting old. I know it's cliche to say this, and I know that people make fun of those who say this at this point but... What's with this stubborn intent I see with every western national trying to stick something arabized or directly arabic into videos regarding Istanbul and/or Turkey?
Did you enjoy riding the camels too? Since we have camels in Turkey, right?
In the end, we are not Turks. We are just Europeanized Arabs.

great video.
Dude, I want to ask you as a Turk: How many people have you seen wearing fez since you came to Turkey? (Except you lol)
I ask this because the whole world thinks we still wear fezzes. However, Atatürk started the "Hat Revolution" in 1925 and we haven't worn fezzes since then. Please let everyone know this.

THE LEGEND IS BACK!
3.15 İts actually affordable. If you will visit İstanbul again, my advice is visiting asian side much more.
Good video and choice of music.
I hope you got a wonderfull trip at Turkey . But I wish you could done a little bit of resarch before going there.I wil try to explain some sort of things basicly
Firstly Turkish is also using latin alphabets since 1928. Before that Arabic letter was used but since talking language and writing languages were so different reading levels were so low and it was so hard to learn the writing alphabets since it is in arabic and we dont talk an arabic language . So Turkey change its alphabet to latin alphabets and revive the alphabet for their language. There is a few diffrent letter from latin alphabet like ö , i , ü , ç . Stil it is mostly same voices for letters. So if you use latin alphabets instade of arabic letters meaning of words would be more correct. It was a little bit paınful to see arabic alphabets in turkish words.
Turkey is mostly located in middle east. But they are not related to Arabs. They are most like lo to be in similar or same religion and border friends maybe. And for that reason Turkish and Turkey itself get affected by that.So actually Turkish has a lot of words that their roots are from Persian. And in now days as you see yourself too there are a really huge refugee population and problem. So maybe think that it is similar when you heard Turkish or refugees s languages. It may be effect your perspectif and you thought it is similar to arabic. I just want to explain that since it is a problem for Turkey that Europian media and movies show Turkey as a part of Arabic countries. And I guess wearing fes was a part of it? Or it was a memory object that you want to buy.
Anyway, I hope now you know more things than before. And if you come again you can suprise the locals by your knowledge. They would be reallly apreciate that.
I did not use any arabic alphabet in the video-
3:17 I bought it for a higher price lol, great job😁
CEDDIN DEDEN NESLIN BABAN 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Why did you write the text in Arabic Alphabet Format?
We are not Arabic bro.
Yea we are Muslim but it's not meaning that we are Arabs.
We use the Arabic Alphabet WHEN IT COMES TO OUR RELIGION because of the Qurani Kerim (Kur'an-ı Kerim in Turkish) is written in the Arabic Alphabet.
nice vlog!! much love from turkey ❤️

The Ottoman Empire was either the only, or one of only two countries in the world that refused to accept the partitions, (the other being the Persian Empire), and reserved a place in its diplomatic corps for an Ambassador of Lehistan (Poland).

Welcome to our beautiful city full of cats, history, culture and hospitality!
As a Turk, you should’ve been able to bargain it down to 50 liras. It’s totally legal!
3:13

@ You have to bargain it down to 50 TL. Of course you cant buy anything for that!
The price is not bad. Even a pack of sigarettes around 70-100 Tl.
Nice video but you used too many stereotypica stuff like Fez and the Ottoman Music
Stereotypical? It is culturally appropriate lol...
@tochen1414 Ottoman culture? Yes. Turkish culture? ...
@@Roxy0.1 Inasmuch as western nations consider themselves a continuation of Ancient Greece and The Roman Empire, to an unreasonable degree at times might I add, Turks also consider themselves a continuation of the Ottoman Empire. By your logic Turks also should disregard Turkic mythology, and poets such as Yunus Emre as well. Please don't confuse my claim here with the anachronistic neo-Ottomanism.
@tochen1414 No, it isn't. Fez is a foreign hatwear (either of Moroccan or Greek origin) that only began being worn after it was imposed on the people by the sultan to modernize in 1830 and replaced the sarık, which was another foreign hat of Persian origin.
Today wearing a Fez is technically illegal in Turkey, though nobody enforces the law.
@@tochen1414Yunus Emre was a Turkish poet who rejected using the Persian+Arabic mix language which other poets used and instead used common Turkish.
The Ottoman Empire, on the otherhand, viewed Turks as ignorant peasants (see: Etrak-ì bi idrak) a source of tax. They essentially invested nothing in Anatolia and are generally only positively remembered by fundamentalist Turks who yearn for the "good old religious days"

First time coming across this channel and I loved it. This vlog is now kebab certified
Something that i hate about turkey is (im turkish), we charge tourists WAYY more than the original price. Even though pepole seem nice, most of them use tourists as easy cash grabs. Now if you are somewhat wealthy you can still live here. But i hate how we charge 25 EUROS so we can let tourists visit our mosques. They are public mosques and they should be free for anyone to visit
Everywhere is similar on that point. I paid for churches in many different countries. Museum prices are higher mostly everywhere. Let me tell you one thing more: Even in Japan, some restaurants have higher-priced menues for tourists. I hate too, when Turks themselves being so hard on their country meanwhile other nationalities adore Turkey. This inferiority complex is killing me.
Can you now go to Prague in Czechia?
