I put the 3S system, a 13 tooth pinion , GTR shocks, aluminum drive line, and replaced the slipper clutch with the aluminum differential. Got the spiral cuts gears coming next week. Quite a rig now.
I was told the 540 will fit as it’s the same chassis. I did the aluminum links along with other bling as well. I don’t want to even begin to add up the receipts. Although that hasn’t stopped me yet 😂
Take the talons off the 2 wheel drive stampede and put them on your four by four... About an 80 gram difference per tire...😳... I have a nice track at home. And it turned my stampede into an absolute weapon... Gives it a nice performance increase... Really enjoy your channel keep up the good work...Just bought a max because of you guys. But haven't delved into it much yet, just got it...👍👍
After a loooot of years in the hobby, I don't care about going faster. A long time ago I started slowing down my cars and trucks and has enjoyed them more than ever. For some reason this newer generation of RC'ers only care about going faster, jump higher, and spend more money in repairs. That only benefits the RC companoes, and they know it
I couldn’t agree more, a lot of these cars don’t need upgrades as long as you’re not putting full power down. Rustler runs great on 2S and would last a long time. Until you put the 3s in then durability goes out the window. We do it for you guys but I agree.
We were literally saying the same thing! We also got new bodies, (video coming soon) and even those came with no stickers. Good to hear from you @Billyyessir
The Extreme HD kit seems to be the same across all platforms. I’m sure there are a lot of similarities, Traxxas likes to keep there’s parts universal. We wanna try to Fiesta looks fun. Can’t go wrong with the new Stampede.
@@redbanditracing The Ford Fiesta is great. It is bigger than you might think. However, I think that is a good thing. It is also the same price. Thoughts?
They should’ve just called it the Imposter. I have two hoss’s, it seems kind of funny that stock they come with a 3S and can go 41 mph. You would think if you’re going to make an upgrade you would at least keep it the same as what you were upgrading. Still Looks like a great truck, but with less power like it’s a hoss on training board….
Almost like this is $100 cheaper and only meant to be a titan 12t replacement to do off with brushed motors and comes with beefed up parts. So weird huh.
The BL-2s make a lot of sense, very durable but doesn’t have the speed (great for those new to the hobby). The HOSS has the speed but not the durability. Traxxas should have given the HOSS better shocks, and the Extreme HD kit.
You should do more unboxing videos. Love your inputs, first thoughts and knowledge.
Very nice truck! Of all BL-2s vehicles this is The One

That’s sounds awesome, we’re also doing GTR shocks, 540XL Motor (if it fits), RPM arms, and metal toe links. You truck sounds loaded

We might try that, we’ve been steering away from Sledgehammer tires to try other brands. But Traxxas started belting their Sledgehammers now.
I set it up with the Talon black Chrome Allstars.. Got two sets of fronts..TRA3669A × 2... Looks really nice and really way better performance...
Ol 20 yr tx is uncalled for. A preview of its top speed ? We will soon find out . Its nice , ill guess 32 mph 😐 ?
In the 30’s is what I was thinking. Anything lower is a disappointment.

Just unboxed my slash yesterday and I wonder why traxxas never gives stickers anymore

Basically a new low-powered hoss I'm not a huge fan of the system that's in it the durability seems to be on spot
Hoss comes with a Maxx motor, 3s esc, adjustable links, 100% metal gears, center diff i think, TSM, etc, etc, all for only $100 more.
Do you own a HOSS?
@@redbanditracing Yep
I’m shocked traxxas didn’t have the BANDIT BL2s yet
I haven’t ordered it yet but soon. Please do the follow up videos. Great video and review.
They are definitely in the works. Thank you
You got to upgrade the esc too because of the motor connection is just for that 2s
Correct
I think I am going to get one. I just got the Ford Fiesta and it appears to have some of the same parts. Thoughts?

They do make HD arms for the / stampede rustler and hoss
We usually go for the RPM, haven’t had any issues after upgrading
If I was going electric it'd be the boss hog

I picked up blue one
Awesome, let us know how you like it.
What do you mean Shoe glue the body
To strengthen the body, prolongs the life.
the hoss is discontinued as it didnt sell well and this stampede replaces the hoss as people also liked the name better
Forgive me if I am wrong, isn’t the Hoss a little longer?
You are correct 👍🏻. The Stampede is 17.9” and the HOSS is 20.2” long. Very close
Thinking that’s just the wheelie bar on Hoss compared to old Stumpy😊
Sorry to burst ur bubble, but that does 25-28 mph. And that is truly sad.
That is truly sad, the 2wd stampede does 26mph. That’s why it’s being upgraded 💪🏻
Agree however this 2s setup is going to be an extremely durable and long lasting value 4 the amount of fun you can have RTR
You know how these RC kids are. Ifnit doesn't go fast, it's not worth it. There is much more to the hobby than going fast all the time..
@@Hajile97 Heck yeah The Traxxas Rally is amazing too lol
It’s meant to be a titan 12t replacement.
With the new Stampede 4x4 VXL this thing is a poor value.
It’s a good starter RC
