I've never driven one of these but have bigger ones. I think they are wonderful. Good investment. 😊love these vehicles ain't one car guy I know that don't love em.
Why is someone gonna " ram the hell outta it ?" why ram the hell out of anything? just drive it, no ramming required. RAM IT BABY ! RAM IT !! (sounded stupid when that clown said that) RAM IT !!!
It looks like at least a 100# of bling on the front end. This car always needed more HP. If you are going to pimp it up at least give it a major hp upgrade.
@@17classiccarsI think the Syracuse company is a relatively recent development . Rights to the name were purchased by a gentleman named Zimmer in Syracuse, NY. He builds Zimmer Golden Spirit neo-classic style cars as one-offs. The original Zimmer corporation was headquartered in Boca Raton, FL. The Motorcar Division was located in Pompano Beach, FL. They ran two assembly lines; one for Golden Spirits, which were a very heavily modified, rebodied and stretched Ford Mustang and the second line which built QuickSilvers from Pontiac Fiero base cars. D.A. Johnson is a very talented automotive designer who had a long career with General Motors Design Staff before designing the QuickSilver for Paul Zimmer @ Zimmer Corporation. This original Zimmer corporation built mobile homes, motor coaches, modified vans and trucks and Black Fin yachts in addition to building these custom automobiles. The QuickSilver was featured on the cover of Car and Driver magazine in 1986.
At 1:00 in, you can see the faulty 'fit and finish' on the lower interior door trim. Over all, both of their EXOTIC vehicles are realy just a 'mash-up' of Big Three bin parts or replicas, using donor cars as a base, trim and facia is layered over the original control and dash. They remind me of overpriced "Kit-Cars".
Just like the DeLorean, they put all their effort into everything else on the car, but left no budget for a decent drivetrain. An equally underpowered V6. A cool looking car, though, that Bill Blazejowski would be proud to drive.
I think that's the engine because its built on a Fiero like it says in the video lmfao and, by the way, those engines are good in the Fiero so idk wtf you're on about buddy
I'm amused by stupid vehicles like this, the Stutz Blackhawk, and the Excaliber... An ordinary car with "bling" applied with a trowel. Kind of like putting lipstick on a pig.
I cannot understand why anyone didn't want to buy a Zimmer Quick Silver, it's such a unique looking vehicle. Man, that is such a weird looking car, it looks like a 1960s era Oldsmobile, but they tried to push it out during the 1980s. Wow.
putting lipstick on a pig is a car that is a pig and you just shine it up to look good we in the trade know the difference between a factory built car and a car that is in horrible condition and then shined up to look good maybe you should have used frankenstien or something like that
@@17classiccars Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The Quicksilver is one of the most galvanizing yet compelling examples I've ever seen of morphing a great car (a Fiero) into another great car (a boulevard cruiser). This car at $19k is a very compelling deal.
Agreed they didn't even "bling" the console that's a stock Fiero shifter and gauge the cluster. Sounds like a Fiero too. Let's hope it doesn't ride like one .
That's the best front bumper on any car, ever! Gorgeous car, I want one!
Beautiful looking car. I've heard of the Zimmer Quicksilver. I've seen magazine articles about the car, but I've never seen one in person.
I've never driven one of these but have bigger ones. I think they are wonderful. Good investment. 😊love these vehicles ain't one car guy I know that don't love em.
Sort of a Lagonda mixed with a Stutz Blackhawk powered by a Fiero. So odd I want one!!
I remember seeing this car when i was in the 6th grade back in 1986 on a chrysler showroom floor the price was a whopping $55,000
I have no idea if this is a "good" car or not by the standards of car wonks, but my goodness, is it ever a beautiful one.
Go back and edit; we never got a shot of the rear of this vehicle.
It also has parts from either an El Dorado or Toronado.
The person in the SUV in front of you stayed at the _"STOP"_ sign 🛑 because they were staring at the usual ride through their rearview mirror😮
they weren't built in Syracuse to many years later.. im pretty sure these were made in pompano beach Florida
Did they stretch the car also
Beautiful car.
It was built in Pompano Beach, Fl at Zimmer motor cars.
ORIGINAL COMPANY SYCACUSE NEW YORK WITH SUBS IN S. FLA
@@17classiccarsAccording to Google only 170 quicksilver were built

I wish there were more of these built I'd love to see one with a massive blower coming out the back 😂😂😂
How much engine noise emanates into the interior? Did they install more sound-insulation material than a Fiero has?
She's a beauty 👏from ☘️

LOL 😂😆🤣👍🏽
A little bit of _ROAD RAGE_ while wrapping up the video😭
The son of a Corvette C4 and a Lincoln Mark V
I didn't know this was built on a Fiero. I was hoping it was land yaght size.
It is bigger than a fear or was
Fiero
They added eight inches of frame in the rear and a whopping sixteen inches in the front so it was much larger than the original Fiero.
Just when you think you’ve seen everything
Did this car just turn up here in Tasmania? I took a photo of one last Friday, not knowing what it was.
💜💜💜💜 I JUST LOVE IT !
Too noisy though!
How would insurance work? I mean, the body parts certainly wouldn't be available if it had an accident...
Stick a corrected Northstar V8 in it
These were built in Pompano Beach not Syracuse
syracuse is where the company head quartered out of i work for them
fyi there were only assembled in pompano

Either the front hood isn't closed enough on the drivers side or its been sprung.
I hope the former.
nothing wrong with the hood but that would be a questions for the buyer who bought it last month. maybe an eye exam is in order
That's what happens when you mix a buick riviera with a firebird.
Did it sell?
no if interested call j.c. at 954 658 2814

@Dan
That's always the question that never receives an answer...until you call!
wow i dont even remember these cars must have been kinda rare
🙃🙃🙃😍😍🥰
This car looks better in "silver dust" or "chrome" color.
The irony! Quicksilver (Mercury) was manufactured by Ford; the Fiero was a GM product
I got it for $30,000 and it is now in Saudi Arabia😂

How dare you drive that car without a pimp hat and too many gold chains.
maybe you should watch the video that is a trans sexual boy girl driving the car just what you like
great except for that ugly walmart special radio.
when i find one, i want to make sure its got the radio its supposed to have
