It be the Dodge repair techs that are out here doing it. They have all the information they need to do the job. So they used a pick tool to get in the vent. The pick allows the person to lift the hooking tab up and a good tug on the wiring harness and push the other end with the pick and boom. As a former mechanic in the Army, I use this method to this day on my cars.
He was most likely out around people bragging about how his car has that new security system, and nobody was going to be able to steal his car like the older models. Someone was like, "Oh yeah, hold my beer! "

When you have a hellcat you gotta have a fuel shutoff valve where only you know how to open the valve to turn the fuel pump on and then you wire in a battery Shutoff , then you mount flame throwers that fry the person if don't put in a code fast enough haha . And keep your pitbull in the back seat with you all the time and pew pew on the hip . 😂

They chipped the car but also made sure the alarm can be overridden if it’s reconnected. It’s new age to make the theft all digital when they come back
My biggest problem is I purchased a pre stage kit and a stage 1 kit for my Hellcat and have the same issue of the alternator over charging as you had what up? You really dropped the ball what is the fix?
I gave up on wanted anything mopar its not worth it at all .. the only thing i would probably look at is a chrysler 300c that still has a chance of being stolen.. but a scatpack or hellcat im good too expensive to keep just to be at risk on the daily
They didn’t disable the alarm, just the wire to the horn. They didn’t have enough time to create a new key, but they wouldn’t have been able to create a new one anyway.
Tbh this sounds like someone who knew the owner of this vehicle. Knew the owner and the owner probably had something that they wanted. Explains how they knew exactly where the alarm wires were and why they didnt steal wallet or even the gun. Its like they were looking for something very specific

Even our 07 Modified Grand Caravan has compustar, with the sensors and the whole 9 yards as well as our supecharged audi q7. Soon i gotta get a system configured for my dads 1969 camaro. The chargers are not worth the stress. They have become old, boring, and stressful to own. This is a HUGE reason they are not selling. Also, because the money they are asking for them doesn't justify the issues I listed above .
If they knew that much about the alarm system wiring, certainly somebody has knowledge about it. Nothing surprises me when it comes to Mopar criminals. I brought a 2022 Scat in December of that yr. The salesman was claiming this new alarm was amazing. I don't think anyone tried stealing it. I never heard the alarm. The charger shine wore off 11 months later. I got rid of it, honestly I do miss the sound.

They tried to steal mine like this twice out of the parking lot at work in broad daylight. But I also have a aftermarket alarm system on there. So after they cut the horn wire and tried to break the window. My aftermarket alarm still went off and they drove off. Plus I got a steering wheel lock and a kill switch on it.

CARLOCK I.D. with Vibration sensors Would have definitely helped in this situation along with the enhanced security… only thing they did was disconnect horn from what others that have experienced are saying …

Doesn't have to be a T12 or T13 most compustar systems have the same features. What sets the T12 & T13 apart is only a few features like proximity unlock, the distance your remote will work & etc but its your job to do the research because the installers wont tell the difference their going to offer you that T12/13 & hope you dont ask questions 😂.

I put glass in cars and I just did a job today on a Scat Pack they did the same exact thing they snipped the two front horns attempted to break into the passenger side vent glass busted that one went around and busted the driver rear door and this was in the Oakland area
I had a situation where someone broke into my r/T by stealing the fob signal and I had my wallet and a pretty expensive chain that had fell out my pocket into the car the day before and they didn’t stealing anything they just went through my glove box and console

My Durango got hit like that. They disconnect the horns through the grill so the horns don’t go off when they get in the car.

2019 scatpack got compustar T13 on mine. $2200
