100% agree that a touch of simple syrup can definitely improve the texture of a drink, and depending on the other ingredients, it might not make all that much of a difference!
Exaaaaactly!
Johann, these bot look really good.
Great little classics to have up your sleeve haha! Pegu Club is perfect for the "not too sweet" people 👍
I tried the white lady tonight! Delicious! Thanks for the recipes and great videos.
That's awesome!! Thanks for letting me know! 🥂
great looking drinks! cheers.
Thank you!
Love these Johan! I agree with the aqua faba explanation. Not only does the texture trick but it is also morally correct!
Well, you know..there is that too of course! 😉💯💯💯
I like the White Lady for the foaminess.
Who doesn't?? 😄
I like them both very much. Had my first White Lady in a famous Ginza bar, where I learned that Japanese bartenders don't use egg whites in drinks. I've since made it both ways and like them either way.
Yeah, what is that about? Why don't they?
@@WhiskeySugarBitters I think, and I do not know for sure, that it's just something - an ingredient - that the Japanese palate doesn't really enjoy. There are some drinks made with egg whites, but not many; at least that's been my experience.
JOHAN!!! Great video!!! I've had the Pegu Club, without sugar. I have NOT had the White Lady. I really need to try both with sugar. That Pegu Club was def tart. I live these easy to make cocktails!!! CHEERS!!!
Thanks Tim! Ya, it's a little sharp haha..Try the WL instead :)
Love the white lady! I’ve only had the Pegu Club a few times and I don’t actually remember how it tasted! So…off to make the Pegu Club! Thanks Johan!
Ann!! I hope you like it! It's a little too tart for my taste 🤫 Have a wonderful weekend my friend!
Nice video, haven't had much gin, I should try the white lady. Thanks!
Absolutely! It's a great little classic 👍
Super great, always dig the classy looking presentation of everything! The Harry v Harry section is amazing, love history lessons like this! Definitely gonna have to try the Pegu Club at least, I do love orange-bitter cocktails! Side note, I've got an "Ice & shaking technique" episode dropping tomorrow, and I'm legit terrified for you to see it, since you're an actual pro, and I've probably got 100% of everything wrong 😅 Thanks for another great ep, Johan!!
Thanks David!! I appreciate the kindness 🙏
If you don't mind a bit tart, PC is great!! I'm more of a sweet kinda guy lol
Oh, I'm definitely gonna watch that and tweet about it. And reddit. But it'll be under another name.. "Trollhan" 😈
Can't wait to see what you have going my friend, I'm sure it'll be another great episode!
YESSSSSSSSSS!!! I'm number 1!!!
😁🥂
Love these.. Been a while will remake them soon. Psss lean in a little. I think there is another "club" cocktail the Philadelphia Fish House Punch
Is it made with gin? 😉
@@WhiskeySugarBitters ahh touché
Johan I love Tanqueray. What is it about this London Dry Gin? I am a huge fan. I love the small distilleries but Tanqueray is a huge favourite. These are fabulous cocktails. You are a great teacher!! :-) Thanks Johan!! Let me know your thoughts on gin. Some of the smaller distilleries, and we have many who make Gin in BC, just don't make something worth drinking. I keep coming back to Tanqueray. I really love the heavy Juniper!! :-) I am a huge fan of both of these cocktails - I prefer the White Lady - far more balanced!! Tipsy is good!! Okay I will wait for a reply!! :-)
I know, I always come back to the classic gins 🤷🏻♂️ I like new ones too, but you can't go wrong with the London Dry ones.
Thanks Christine!! I try my best.
And I agree, WL is my favorite too. However, last night a guest asked me for something on the tarter side, so I made her the PC. She loved it!
Hahaha..tipsy IS good! 😉
Love gin, so give me a White Lady!
Not the Pegu Club?
