False - horrendously compressed music (dynamics I mean in mastering like Death Magnetic) sounds like arse on every system and worse the better your system is
Dolby is awesome when it comes to movies but not so much on music. Dirac audio is way better and very underrated.
They use psychoacoustics to enhance music listing experience.

I totally agree with you they give us a sample of one is able to do and yet when you think about it these so-called developers absolutely shyt.
This has been the case with virtually every technology whether it’s 3D, or the PS3 or Atmos.
It is never used to its fullest potential

I am running a 7.3.4 Atmos system in my movie room. I love the way that it sounds. I was fortunate enough to be able to speak to Ray Dolby many years ago when his company was in the process of going public. He was a very nice man. I will forever be a fan.

It IS Dolby Atmos, but it's the version designed for Headphones and Earphones.

@@dobyblue73 Binaural isn't Atmos(which is decoding tech), but Dolby Atmos for Headphones is ultimately Binaural 2ch Audio so for users of the headphone version it should sound exactly like Atmos anyway. That's my point.
