WWII had the best supply drop system. The guns weren’t locked behind them, you could earn them via challenges and quartermaster collections. And you got a free supply drop every 5 games played.
IDK man, i think I got enough pistol grips to last me a lifetime 😢. That's what eventually made me quit playing. I rage quit and threw my controller through my TV after spending an hour opening supply drops and only getting pistol grips and basic crap.
A lot of people complained about the best guns being in supply drops on Advanced Warfare, but didnt realize when you prestiged, they gave you a FREE ELITE WEAPON & supply drop. I had all weapons just by prestiging never spent money
One thing to note was that MWR’s supply drop system didn’t have guns in rotation. So you would get stuff through the drops to complete the collection, then you’d get the weapon.
Black Ops 4 added it where you can choose a weapon to unlock if you have 50 reserve crates. You also get 5 dupe-protected cases with it. The firework death affect is the best death affect and headshots causes the death affects to be more “bigger”
So the MWR and WW2 supply drop items were part of the collections and if you got all items in a single collection, you’d get one bigger (usually really good) item. And that was like the main way of getting guns. You might’ve earned some items that make it easier/quicker to get guns.
IW was actually my favorite CoD title, the campaign was great, the Multiplayer was fun, and the Zombies was fantastic. Salvage was used to craft specific guns that you wanted if you didn't want to have to rely on RNG and was my favorite system of progression
I remember buying the 100 rare supply drops in black ops 3 so many times, and i would just sit there on my ps4 just opening one after the other. I almost have every dlc weapon from supply drops, but i was really excited when i got the m16, AN94, and all the melee weapons!
I like that they stopped supply crates and that but honestly it was low-key kinda amazing feeling when you got something new and good rarity or something different. But at least nowadays you get them anyway.
Cod WWII by far had the best supply drop system in that game. You were able to complete challenges and in return get supply drops. Most of the weapon variants and character customization options I got were basically from doing these challenges.
I kinda miss loot boxes in games not gonna lie, I miss the dopamine and also miss the customization from some of these older call of duty games. Now we have operators which is honestly kinda ass imo. You just have a lot of the same characters roaming the map. Miss the character customization of the older games.
If anyone reads this: The Supply Store for Advanced Warfare is not working. Anyone else has this problem let Activision or Sledgehammer know to fix it or something.
I reckon you’re getting elites in advanced warfare because I think now it’s older, or when it started to get older, they buffed what you got because it wasn’t competitive anymore.. or it’s on like a demand style system - the more people playing, the more watered down your items would be. With no one playing, you just get everything
Dude, are the posters there to flip of the starwars community or do you really like these movies that much?😂 either way, GG Tdawg! Awesome Vids! Very entertaining, keep it rollin!!👏🥳
Hey Tdawg, I don’t normally comment, I found your channel about 2 weeks ago, and love your content and have been binge watching your videos. I am an avid call of duty fan myself and have played them all. I love your challenge videos and seen your challenge where you only have a minute to get as many kills as you can, I believe cod4 won. Anyway you were asking your viewers for more challenges. So here is one for you if would like to try. Challenge Idea: See how fast you can get all 3 of your killstreaks in every call of duty. I know that some of the games have scorestreaks and some have different kills for them like mw3 (new one) you need 4 kills for a UAV and in cod4 it is 3 kills. Try and keep these killstreaks as close to cod4 as possible. UAV, Airstrike and Helicopter to keep it fair. I don’t know if it is a viable challenge or if it has already been done, if so point me to that video. And you don’t have to do the challenge. Anyway love your content. Wish you all the best T.
Honestly wish they still did supply drops like AWF ones with all the other CODs loved howyou can get jackets armor shoes gloves all the customization was amazing
Only thing I miss from older cods is looking at combat records before games in the pre game lobby and the lobby leader board. Hope it makes a comeback for B06
I am so glad they don’t have supply drops anymore. They were so bad. AW’s actually seemed ok. But the others were total rip offs. Activision completely took advantage of their players.
How u put on the skins for ur character class in WW2 is told right there when u go into a class. Once u go in, hover over the patch where u pick what division and press either A or Y. If u press A, go to the division u want, press Y, and then pick either uniforms, special helmets, or face camo, then go can chose what to change. But if u press Y, its the exact same thing when u press A, but instead of choosing what division u want to customize, u automatically go to the division u have equipped in that class. For example, lets say I want to change my infantry look, but the division I have equipped in the class I'm in is Airborne, I would go to change my infantry look by hitting A on the patch, then Y. But if I only wanted to change my Airborne look, I would press Y on the division patch to customize it a shortcut or I could do the same thing when I press A, but instead of going to infantry, I stay on Airborne, then hit Y to customize.
highkey want supply drops to return. I hated getting duplicates and useless shit, but the process of opening them was fun af. The collections on MWR and WW2 were the best way to unlock guns, a bit tedious at times since you had to get the entire collection just for 1 gun, but you always had something to work towards, it was rewarding. I still even now do daily and weekly challenges and contracts on WW2 to get supply drops, still a handful of guns I don't have on that game and I play the game on a regular basis. The Faithful II is the best looking sniper variant, hands down. Took me years to get that thing.
It's crazy to see "retired" gear that meas it's rare noiceeee Edit: rare as in you had to pull it through supply drops ages ago before they remove it from the item pool
I love the customization through supply drop from AW. Get rid of hiding the best gun variants, the sounds were so great. I would totally be down for skins/camos/other cosmetics being in supply drops that can be earned by playing games. Way better than the battle pass imo.
i know loot boxes were a stain to games back then but dear lord are they way better then the modern battlepass because atleast with these you can earn them in any way and still unlock everything in the game instead of handing over constant 10$ every single new one
Each of them did have filler stuff, but it feels like some of them were worse than others in different ways. BO4 I think has my favourite potential, but the single cases didn't feel as good for the minimum, and it took a long while to grind up cases to be able to trade them for bunch of crates, or the weapon bribes, and good blackjack shop stuff. BO3 and BO4 kinda sucked int he way of camos were weapon exclusive where you got them for the weapon class in IW and MWR. Variants, sure, you got them in general more often than whole weapons like b03/4, but actually good variants, ehh.. Pistol grips were easily the biggest case of filler I'd say. It was nice for IW and MWR of having duplicates turned into salvage that could be used to get some stuff directly. Also, the bo4 weapon bribes I liked, could pick which gun, mastercraft, or mkII you wanted specifically. At thte end of the day, the supply drops, felt good when you found stuff you liked, but sucked otherwise, were quite predatory even if later ones made ways to theoretically grind for some stuff.
Who wants to see me open up more Supply Drops?
definetly
Do you think the sale on Xbox right now for the old cod games mean there coming to gamepass?
Dooooo it! We won't tell the wife

Black Ops 4 added it where you can choose a weapon to unlock if you have 50 reserve crates. You also get 5 dupe-protected cases with it. The firework death affect is the best death affect and headshots causes the death affects to be more “bigger”
This was way better than today's blueprint system
Bo4 had goated emotes wiping a squad then twerking on the dead bodies was something different lol
Supply drops were way better than what the system is now
No, they are totally dogshit

It seriously was though at least you can earn supply drops for free and get the cosmetics for free instead of 2400 cod points for a shop bundle.

Damn, Shilldawg is 10 years too late to the supply drop videos party. 🤣
You ain’t wrong lol
In bo4 you can earn literally everything for free after the last update of the black market , you use 50 supply drops to get a weapon of your choice
I like that they stopped supply crates and that but honestly it was low-key kinda amazing feeling when you got something new and good rarity or something different. But at least nowadays you get them anyway.

am I a bad guy for missing these supply drops?
I miss WW2 supply drops, especially the event ones. Halloween honestly brought the best cosmetics and gun variants ever too.
Hello. I just want to thank you for the content. You're probably the most creative youtuber on call of duty. Thanks again. From Russia, with love
Also WW2 gave you way better stuff than MWR. Guns, skins and lots of epics, heroics and legendaries. Shit my score for WW2 would be A tier.

Quick FYI, the reason Advanced warfare was £40 for 20 supply drops was because he bought Advanced supply drops aka Better versions of basic drops
Alot people think the cod identity crisis started in vanguard but in reality it was in advance warfare this whole time
No the CoD quality crisis happened in Vanguard

The way you customize your character in WWII is you go to the class go to infantry and press Y instead of A, your welcome Tdawg (or reader)
