Easy string puppetry gone suddenly wrong. The altitude was everything in this case. If the pilot started 50 to 100 feet higher, the accident would have resulted in serious consequences.
yep. that collapse was due to bad technique. weightshift while you are swinging through under the wing and use brake at the top of the swing through to yaw the wing ready for the next one. dont forget to use some outside brake when the wingovers get big as that is the side that tucks because of low angle of attack.
@prasinoprosopo : small wingover (ok) followed by 2 progressively larger. last wingover pilot braked with little wing speed & stalled one side of the glider = spin. All done close to ground. recommendation = watch clip "Wingovers by OZONE"
This is a perfect example of "Risk vs. Reward", and a better example of "SHIT HAPPENS". NO matter how experienced a pilot you are, you risk being seriously injured or even killed doing manouvers or "showing off" without enough altitude to correct a problem, or having the time to throw a reserve. "You do have a reserve? Which is no guarantee either!" Thankfully though, it appears you walked away from this!
This cat got way lucky! You shouldn't do maneuvers under like a thousand Ft agl. This could've ruined everybody's day. I would have whipped out the spare yellow underware at the first sign of an asym!
Wow! Shows just how forgiving this sport can be. Try that maneuver with anything else that flies. See ya!! A little close terra firma to be fooling around. Just one man's opinion.
"he saved it" I dont think he saved anything, just lucky he was at that exact hight for those circumstances.

The most lucky landing I have ever seen! Hope I never need luck like that :)
100ft above the ground is not the place to attempt wingovers!
Yeah! I was expecting to see sea coming into view 🤪
One of the smoothest crash landings i've ever seen. Perfect timing on that swing XD
why the hell would you do wing overs so low when you have no clue how they are done??

LOL "He save it".. it was just his lucky day.. god loves him

Really lucky, we can learn something with this! If you dont master it, make it high!
seems to me that this pilot is trying to make wingovers without weight shift which is very important to make good wingovers.
Not to mention he's like 100 ft above the ground.

The safest wing over move is not to play:
One of the luckiest man on earth..
Tytuł powinien brzmieć; Początek nowego życia:)
Go up to 2000ft and THEN practice some wingovers.
INCREDIBLE :D i'm sure u quit low altitude wingovers :D
That really is a lucky save.
Well. You shouldnt use a pod harness, in addition to what you were already told.
you have to learn so much how to make wingovers.you are lucky man at least
This guy shouldn't be doing wingovers at 1000ft, let alone 100....
hahah "he saved it"
It is nothing but pure luck!!!

As I said before: Paragliding is for irresponsible and lazy people. Step up to Hang Gliding!
