I designed a swimming pool firefighting system for a home. Gas powered pump, 24 hrs. capability, "Rain Bird", agricultural irrigation nozzle. Hose to the swimming pool, pump and fuel supply are under the water system. Irrigation "Rain Bird" on the roof, specially made platform, 100 ft. radius. I was thinking something along those lines. With fires not being unusual in California, why wouldn't every home have some type of protection, even the insurance companies should require it.
Someone in the news mentioned that this family basically saved their home and several of their neighbors by using this water pump in their swimming pool.
As a lifelong Florida senior, up until at least 20 years ago, maybe longer ago, our State via local police used to arrest vagrants, panhandlers. It was to preserve health, safety, civilization, etc. How the vagrants were processed, not certain, but I'm sure it was a process of jail, probation, rehabilitation, etc. Those days must return for civilization's sake.
But there’s nowhere to put these people. That means government has to take responsibility - financial and otherwise to do with their mental health. There’s no money left in the government purse on any level. We have homeless encampments here in Ontario where winter is still a thing. The encampments are legislated.
It used to be against the law to panhandle, but governments said that was discrimination to not allow, I believe, so now we are harassed to death when doing our daily chores in our neighbourhood, they now have just taken over, no fining them anymore. I believe in the UK it is against the law. What about all of the telemarketers that are criminals and harassing seniors daily for money or conning them. Nothing is happening wth them either. Times have changed no boundaries set for these people and now were are suffering because of it. I thought in LA there were 75,000 homeless.
I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but a wonder if Malibu will be land grab when California won’t allow building along the coast. Then after it’s been bought up all of sudden they will be allowed to build.

Gavin Douchesome listened to your rant about the Coastal Commission and the environmental restrictions, in general, and how nothing will get rebuilt in a timely manner. He is removing regulations via Executive Order to keep his prime donors happy.
If the insurance companies pulled their fire insurance and you have a mortgage on your house but now you don't have a house anymore do you continue to pay the mortgage to keep the land that you'll never be able to build on or are you left no choice but to sell out to developer that's going to turn your cozy neighborhoods into apartment buildings?
It's great to see you gain some much deserved popularity again. I've listened to you since the Loveline days. Always appreciated your realist approach and insight.
It's not just California. It's bad in Oregon, too. I work and live at a non-profit camp and we have been dropped/denied by multiple insurance companies and now have t'rrible coverage and pay four times as much as we did in 2020.
I'm thinking of moving to Carlsbad from San Jose. Same with insurance it's 4 to 5x higher. My insurance guy didn't want to go into details but they know if a conflagration happens they're gonna be in trouble.
As someone who has been screwed over time and time again by Democrats (last time during 2020 when I was finally going to make a great sum of money on real estate commissions... until the lockdown happened and ruined my career in one fell swoop), how bad am I REALLY expected to feel for the LA fires since like 90% of them voted for this incompetence? I do feel bad to even feel like this but when you get your college aid pulled three days before junior semester in college and end up having to drop out because how the hell can someone afford college if they aren't rich... then you finally are getting somewhere in life and they pull the rug out from under you but I'm supposed to feel bad for these ignorant rich celebrities that have plenty of money to just rebuild or move elsewhere.... I feel bad for Adam because he's a voice of reason in a sea of stupidity, so I can relate as a sane person in NYC watching a bunch of insanity around me... I think we can do so much better than Trump but man, thank God he won...

Get a genarater too. To run that pump. Most times theres no electric too.
Yep.
Have both! 😂
It's great to see you gain some much deserved popularity again. I've listened to you since the Loveline days. Always appreciated your realist approach and insight.
Mr. FLEETWOOD has bad luck with fires because his club on MAUI was right in the middle of LAHAINA.
Interesting He actually did that amazing documentary decades ago in Ghana
Don't stop Ace, regards from the land Downunder
You rock bro I hope all is well on your side of the territory
With californias war on diesels who is going to be able to build thesee homes again because no constrution compankes are left in CA.
Adam carolla is the definition of uncle cool
What do the Kilauea volcano and the LA Fire Dept.share in common?
They have both experienced massive dike intrusions.
😂
Its the last 30+ years of failed statewide mismanagent, our forest, our water and our electrical grid!! Where's the Money!! Hmm!!!?
So happy to see the show was up this morning. 🙏🏻
Love you Adam ❤️
24 billion on the homeless problem , 1 billion fire fighting budget. And the fire was most likely started by a homeless person !
We have a guest room for you in Fort Worth Adam. We are so sorry for your losses, and are praying for you and yours.
Fort Worth Texas ?
Did Adam’s bank account, credit cards and many millions of dollars in assets also get burned in the fire?😂
Staffing shortages @13:37 I wonder how many fire department employees were let go because they didn't get covid vaccinated?
113 is what I heard. Could be more, I'm not sure.
I hope this aspect gets talked about much, and that people realize how many industries we rely on (medical, to name one other) have been affected by that issue.
I believe California would not let the insurance companies raise the rates so they dumped California
Exactly
Great show!
Good advice on pool pump
Don't forget the generator!
I completely agree with Dawson on Zuckerberg. I am surprised Adam wasn’t in complete agreement as well.
Can someone please give us an update on that special preserved fish? They’ve been on my mind through this horrible tragedy. Just hoping there were no embers that could’ve fallen into their habitat and disrupt their way of life
😂
Adam & Leno’s car insurance companies should require them to move their collections to either FL/TX or face insurance cancellations 😂
It may not have been so bad if it wasn't for those new, Ca approved, 'low flow' water saving fire hydrants
Zuck could have been transparent at the time. He could have had a press conference and just been totally explicit about what he was doing because of the government. That way it would have shined the light right back on the censors. But he chose to wait until it was politically easy.
I mocked CNN on Facebook during Covid when responding to someone and they wouldn’t let me post it saying it wasn’t within their guidelines. That was the day on stop using Facebook.
Mahalo Adam.
I was just wondering if your studio/ warehouse was out of the fire zone. Great to see you back Ace .Goodluck in the apocalypse zone.
did he say if his home still exists? I missed it
I feel so bad, im sorry you have gone through so much
More Dawson!
