And to be honest.. you can't blame them ..people use music(especially K-pop listeners) to forget about problems not to be reminded of them. They also add rock, metal influences in an industry where was a Taboo thing to have these kind of genres mixed with Kpop(until they made it a thing). It's totally unique what are they doing but that uniqueness is also the reason that creates a barrier between their music and ears of general public.And that's for the good.
