LIVE WELL PUMP WON'T PRIME? 3 QUICK HACKS TO GET PUMP PRIMED

We have been having some trouble getting our live well pump to prime on our J16 Carolina Skiff. One of the issues is that the pump impeller is located above the water line which will cause a constant problem for getting a prime on the pump. We are seeking a more permanent solution but in the mean time, we still want to fish and we need our live well so we needed to figure out some quick solutions to get the water flowing! Here are 3 quick hacks that you can try to get your live well pump primed until a more permanent solution is determined.

Will also help if you had your pump angle more at a 2 o’clock position or definitely at 90 degrees.
