Man, your channel is CRIMINALLY underrated. This is the exact kind of stuff I love about wargaming! Such useful and applicable information, talking about tactics and strategy, not "this unit is broken. Bring it and win". Please keep this series going! I have been searching for this level of strategy and military theory as it pertains to LI, and finally found it!
Thank you -- that is really encouraging to hear! Applying military theory to LI was the core idea behind this channel, so I am glad that side of it is appreciated. The upcoming Mechanicum release has meant my focus has shifted to that for the moment, but more videos in this series (and other new series) are on the way!
Great analysis. As sieze is so resource intensive it may be better just putting most of these resources into occupying the middle objectives as you will win by holding the middle objectives even if you never seize the enemy home objectives. Keeping a cheap fast units to threaten the enemy home objective if they keave it unoccupied should ne enough yo keep the opponent honest.
Absolutely. And that's part of the analysis we have to do at the start of every game to adapt this generic plan into one specific to the mission we're playing. As you suggest, in most missions you won't need the Seize group at all unless your opponent gets to an important objective first, and so you'll be able to either hold those detachments in reserve or reconfigure them to Retain other objectives.
I haven't played against them yet, but based on my experience so far, knights and titans are underpowered for their points. Combine that with the fact that they are not going to be able to contest objectives, and I think they are going to struggle. At the end of the day, though, player skill does matter in Legions Imperialis, and an underpowered list played well is going to beat an overpowered list played poorly.

This is the kind of LI rules content the community needs! Huzzah!
Thank you! Very glad to hear that you found the video worthwhile
@ I’m annoyed it’s taken me months to find your channel 😝
Love the simple & clean graphics mate! Also giving me Auspex Tactics vibes which is always a good thing.
Thanks very much! If I ever have a hundredth of the success Auspex Tactics has reached, I'll be very happy
Excellent content, got me thinking about this for a change 🤔
Many thanks.
@@warpaintjj Thank you! If you put any of these ideas into practice, let us know how they perform for you!

Legiones Auspex
Big thanks!
How do you think, news knight-titans detaches are ok , or suck on tanks and melee armies?

Content is good,
I am hearing something like crickets/squeaky wheel going when you talk in the background
If it's all through the video it's probably the cooler on my house -- I'll see if I can adjust the audio settings to cut that out.
You have a pet cicada?
He's the editor
@@tacticaeimperialis-j8r he's doing a cracking job! Enjoyed the vid btw, thank you for doing that
@@Farold_Haltermeyer Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! (I'll make sure to give the cicada a raise ;D)
Excellent content, as always 🫡
Thanks, man. I hope it helps! 💪
