What's the difference between these and the regular dt 770 pro's?

The only difference is the ear pads. You’ll see these headphones on thousands of podcasts and in studio spaces. The grey is pretty common but the special edition are in black. Nothing too fancy, but they look smart in black.

Whats the benefit of the "limited edition" version ones though?

it has "limited edition" written on them, plus it has black ear-pads.....
as if it's not cheaper to buy a tip-ex pen and some new ear-pads!!! 😆🤨
i don't even think they fixed the sound, probably the same fatigue inducing treble!

Nothing really, just the black ear pads

DT 770s are great! I've been using them for awhile. Enjoy!

Yeah thats good to hear. The level of comfort was the biggest plus for me. Plus they sound awesome and give me exactly what I need to do my work.

Im struggling to decide on the DT770 or the open back 990's. I just listen to music, no mixing, sampling. It looks like the 990s have the edge. Id need the 250ohm version as il mainly be using my audiolab 6000A.

@@CM-dw3gh You should also consider the DT 880, they have a flatter response, more natural sound. The DT 990 tend to be pretty V-shaped. It's a matter of preference, but I have the DT 880 Edition 600 Ohms, and I love them. I just added the DT 770 Pro 80 Ohms. Surprisingly similar frequency response and character, but the DT 880 Edition have noticeably flatter mids (even though the DT 770 Pro are pretty nice for a closed-back already). And I can wear the DT 880 longer, just more comfortable because of less clamp and cooler ears. I use the DT 880 Edition for listening (and mixing, if I ever get beyond playing around with a DAW), the DT 770 Pro for practicing/recording bass guitar, and when I want to block out some noise.

The cable is moulded into the left hand ear side of the headphones. Hope that helps

What is the difference between DT700 Studio and Monitor?

    • @alexblackburnproducer

I’m not totally sure. I’ve been using the DT770 for a while at work and purchased the same set. Brilliant for studio work

my $20 earbuds are literally better than these even in a studio situation. I returned these dumb headphones. I have an ifi dac 3 and it still sounded horrible. Not good for bass heavy production.
